This phase II trial tests the safety and side effects of durvalumab and grid therapy in treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer who have progressed during or within 6 months of durvalumab administration for non-small cell lung cancer. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as durvalumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Radiation therapy uses high energy sources to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Spatially fractionated radiation therapy or "grid therapy" is a technique which delivers high doses of radiation to small areas of the tumor which can lead to more concentrated tumor cell killing and causes less damage to normal tissue. Giving grid therapy with durvalumab may help durvalumab work better to kill tumor cells in patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Read Less

This early phase I trial evaluates blood samples to see if patients undergoing standard of care treatment with either stereotactic body radiation therapy or percutaneous ablation (using radio waves to create heat to destroy the tumor), have an increase in serum immune markers in kidney cancer. The human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) regulates cell growth and survival. Approximately 15-20% of all breast cancers are HER2-positive, which are an aggressive and fast-growing subtype of breast cancer. This study will evaluate a new treatment using a potent Poly polymerase (PARP) inhibitor known as Niraparib. Niraparib will be combined with trastuzumab, a HER2-targeted agent, to evaluate the safety and tolerability in patients with metastatic HER2 positive breast cancer. This phase II trial tests how well enfortumab vedotin works for treating patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the penis that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic) or cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable). Enfortumab vedotin is a monoclonal antibody, enfortumab, linked to an anticancer drug called vedotin. It works by helping the immune system to slow or stop the growth of tumor cells. This phase II trial studies how well TPIV100 and sargramostim work in treating patients with HER2 positive, stage II-III breast cancer that has residual disease after chemotherapy prior to surgery. It also studies why some HER2 positive breast cancer patients respond better to chemotherapy in combination with trastuzumab and pertuzumab. TPIV100 is a type of vaccine made from HER2 peptide that may help the body build an effective immune response to kill tumor cells that express HER2. Sargramostim increases the number of white blood cells in the body following chemotherapy for certain types of cancer and is used to alert the immune system. It is not yet known if TPIV100 and sargramostim will work better in treating patients with HER2 positive, stage II-III breast cancer. Read Less

This phase II trial tests whether pegylated SN-38 conjugate PLX038 (PLX038) works to shrink tumors in patients with ovarian, primary peritoneal, and fallopian tube cancers that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). The Childhood Cancer Survivor Study (CCSS) will investigate the long-term effects of cancer and its associated therapies. A retrospective cohort study will be conducted through a multi-institutional collaboration, which will involve the identification and active follow-up of a cohort of approximately 50,000 survivors of cancer, diagnosed before 21 years of age, between 1970 and 1999 and 10,000 sibling controls. This project will study children and young adults exposed to specific therapeutic modalities, including radiation, chemotherapy, and/or surgery, who are at increased risk of late-occurring adverse health outcomes. A group of sibling controls will be identified and data collected for comparison purposes. Read Less
