This is a Phase IIa,multicentre proof of concept study consisting of 2 study periods to study Treatment with NST-1024 as an adjunct to diet to reduce triglyceride (TG) levels in subjects with TG levels of ≥500 mg/dL and ≤2000 mg/dL; determined by percentage change in TG from baseline after 28 days of treatment. The two periods consist of: A 3-week screening period that includes a TG qualifying period, and A 28-days, double-blind, randomized, parallel group, placebo-controlled treatment period. This phase II trial studies how well pembrolizumab and dasatinib, imatinib mesylate, or nilotinib work in treating patients with chronic myeloid leukemia and persistent detection of minimal residual disease, defined as the levels of a gene product called bcr-abl in the blood. Monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Dasatinib, imatinib mesylate, and nilotinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving pembrolizumab and dasatinib, imatinib mesylate, or nilotinib may work better in treating patients with chronic myeloid leukemia. Read Less

This phase III trial compares the effect of active symptom monitoring and patient education to patient education alone in helping young women with stage I-III breast cancer stay on their hormone therapy medicines. The patient education tool contains interactive weblinks which provide patients with education material about breast cancer and side effects of therapy. Symptom monitoring is a weblink via email or text message with questions asking about symptoms. Hormone therapy for breast cancer can cause side effects, and may cause some women to stop treatment early. Asking about symptoms more often may help women keep taking hormone therapy medicines. This phase III trial compares the effects of shorter chemotherapy (chemo)-immunotherapy without anthracyclines to usual chemo-immunotherapy for the treatment of early-stage triple negative breast cancer. Paclitaxel is in a class of medications called anti-microtubule agents. It stops cancer cells from growing and dividing and may kill them. Carboplatin is in a class of medications known as platinum-containing compounds. It works in a way similar to the anticancer drug cisplatin, but may be better tolerated than cisplatin. Carboplatin works by killing, stopping or slowing the growth of cancer cells. Cyclophosphamide is in a class of medications called alkylating agents. It works by damaging the cell's deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and may kill cancer cells. It may also lower the body's immune response. Docetaxel is in a class of medications called taxanes. It stops cancer cells from growing and dividing and may kill them. Doxorubicin is an anthracycline chemotherapy drug that damages DNA and may kill cancer cells. Pembrolizumab may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Shorter treatment without anthracycline chemotherapy may work the same as the usual anthracycline chemotherapy treatment for early-stage triple negative breast cancer. Read Less

DMX-200 (repagermanium) is a C-C chemokine receptor type 2 (CCR2) inhibitor that, when administered concurrently with an ARB, is designed to inhibit recruitment of monocytes implicated in the inflammatory chemokine environment of chronic disease. The purpose of this pivotal randomized double-blind study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of DMX-200 120 mg twice daily (BID) compared with placebo over a treatment period of 104 weeks in adult patients with FSGS who are being treated with an ARB. Given the rarity of the disease and the similarities between adults and pediatric patients with FSGS, Dimerix will also investigate the efficacy and safety of DMX 200 in adolescents aged 12 to 17 years. The double-blind period will be followed by an open-label extension (OLE) which aims to assess the long-term efficacy and safety of DMX 200 for up to 2 additional years. Read Less

The goal of this randomized trial is to test whether the Internet-Delivered Enhanced Assess, Acknowledge, Act (IDEA3) sexual assault resistance education intervention reduces sexual violence victimization in undergraduate women. Participants in the intervention group will be asked to attend four three-hour group sessions of a sexual assault resistance program called IDEA3 with a partner, as well as fill out a number of surveys. Participants in the control group will be asked to attend a one-hour consent workshop with a partner and fill out surveys. This Phase 1, randomized, observer-blind, dose-ranging clinical study is evaluating 6 different formulations of MF59-adjuvanted and non-adjuvanted H2N3 influenza vaccine. Approximately 600 healthy adult subjects are to be randomized into 1 of 6 possible treatment groups with 100 subjects per group, stratified by age group (born after or before 1968). Each subject will receive an influenza vaccine injection on Day 1 and Day 22. Subjects will be followed up for approximately 12 months after the second vaccine injection. The primary immunogenicity analysis is based on the Day 1, Day 8, Day 22, Day 29, and Day 43 serology data. The primary safety analysis is based on solicited local and systemic adverse events (AEs) reported within 10 days after each vaccination, unsolicited AEs reported within 3 weeks after each vaccination, and serious AEs (SAEs), medically attended AEs (MAAEs), AEs leading to withdrawal from the study, and AEs of special interest (AESIs) reported throughout the study. This is a multicenter, randomized, open-label study of Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) at 150 kHz to the thorax using the NovoTTF-200T System with IV pembrolizumab in subjects previously untreated for advanced or metastatic, PD-L1 positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The primary objective is to evaluate the progression-free survival (PFS) by RECIST 1.1 in subjects with TPS ≥1 percent, 1L metastatic/current advanced NSCLC treated with TTFields concomitant with pembrolizumab compared to those treated with pembrolizumab alone. The device is an experimental, portable, battery operated device for chronic administration of alternating electric fields (termed TTFields) to the region of the malignant tumor, by means of surface, insulated electrode arrays. Building upon existing evidence on loneliness and pain research, conversational voice assistant (CVA)technology and personalized persuasion, we have assembled an interdisciplinary and inter-institutional team of researchers to conduct a 12-week randomized control pilot with older adults that live alone and self-report pain. Participants will interact with a standard or a personally enhanced loneliness routine delivered through a CVA. We will explore intervention feasibility and examine the efficacy of both standard and personalized interventions on loneliness and secondary outcomes. Inclusion: 1) men and women 60 years of age; 2) live alone (single-family home, independent, or assisted living); 3) self-report have experienced or currently experiencing musculoskeletal pain; and 4) wireless internet access via a broadband Internet connection. Exclusion: 1) memory loss as evidenced by poor performance on the Mini Cog; 2) inability to speak English; 3) prior study participation; 4) prior use or current use of a conversational voice assistant; and 5) not willing to engage with the voice assistant. Our proposed study is comprised of 1) a one week pre-study session for participant equipment set-up, training, and baseline pre- study data collection; 2) a 12-week randomized trial of the standard or the enhanced CVA delivered interventions; and 3) a one-week post-study data collection. This phase III trial compares the effect of modified fluorouracil, leucovorin calcium, oxaliplatin, and irinotecan (mFOLFIRINOX) to modified fluorouracil, leucovorin calcium, and oxaliplatin (mFOLFOX) for the treatment of advanced, unresectable, or metastatic HER2 negative esophageal, gastroesophageal junction, and gastric adenocarcinoma. The usual approach for patients is treatment with FOLFOX chemotherapy. Chemotherapy drugs work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Fluorouracil stops cells from making DNA and it may kill tumor cells. Leucovorin is used with fluorouracil to enhance the effects of the drug. Oxaliplatin works by killing, stopping, or slowing the growth of tumor cells. Some patients also receive an immunotherapy drug, nivolumab, in addition to FOLFOX chemotherapy. Immunotherapy may induce changes in body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Irinotecan blocks certain enzymes needed for cell division and DNA repair, and it may kill tumor cells. Adding irinotecan to the FOLFOX regimen could shrink the cancer and extend the life of patients with advanced gastroesophageal cancers. Read Less
