This study is a pilot randomized trial of STIckER in which 40 providers (20 trained in using the STIckER decision aid and 20 providing standard care) will enroll a total of 140 sexually active young Emergency Department (ED) patients over six months in a pediatric and adult ED setting. The primary goal is to determine if sexually active young individuals who use STIckER are more likely to undergo STI testing. By developing an effective automated digital tool to increase STI testing, the investigators aim to improve evidence-based sexual health education, reduce STI rates, and enhance the health outcomes of young individuals nationwide. This study is open to adults with schizophrenia who took part in a previous CONNEX study (study 1346-0011, 1346-0012, or 1346-0013). The purpose of this study is to find out how well people with schizophrenia can tolerate a medicine called Iclepertin in the long term. Participants take Iclepertin as tablets once a day for 1 year. In addition, all participants take their normal medication for schizophrenia. Participants are in the study for a little more than 1 year. During this time, they visit the study site about 13 times and get about 9 phone calls from the study team. The doctors collect information on any health problems of the participants. This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, international, Phase 3 study in patients with newly diagnosed H3 K27M-mutant diffuse glioma to assess whether treatment with ONC201 following frontline radiotherapy will extend overall survival and progression-free survival in this population. The study has 2 parts. The first part is open to adults with different types of advanced cancer (solid tumours with changes in the HER2 gene) for whom previous treatment was not successful. The second part is open to people with non-small cell lung cancer with a specific mutation in the HER2 gene. The purpose of the first study part is to find the highest dose of a medicine called zongertinib the participants can tolerate. Once this dose is found, it will be used in the second study part to test whether zongertinib can make tumours shrink. In this study, zongertinib is given to people for the first time. Participants take zongertinib as tablets once a day or twice a day. The participants are in the study for as long as they benefit from and can tolerate treatment. Study doctors regularly check the participants' health and monitor the tumours. The doctors also take note of any unwanted effects that could have been caused by zongertinib. Read Less

This study is open to adults aged 18 years and older with cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1291583 is tolerated by people with cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis. Participants are put randomly into 2 groups. One group takes BI 1291583 tablets and the other group takes placebo tablets. Placebo tablets look like BI 1291583 tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants in both groups take 1 tablet once a day for 12 weeks. Participants have twice the chance of being placed in the BI 1291583 group than in the placebo group. Participants are in the study for about 6 months. During this time, they visit the study site 7 times. At the visits, the doctors check the health of the participants and note any health problems that could have been caused by BI 1291583. Read Less

This study is open to adults who are at least 18 years old and have a body mass index (BMI)bof 27 kg/m2 or more. People can take part if they have cardiovascular or chronic kidney disease. People who have at least 2 health problems related to their weight or risks of cardiovascular disease can participate. Participants must have previously tried to lose weight by changing their diet. The purpose of this study is to find out whether people with overweight or obesity who take a medicine called survodutide (BI 456906) are less or more likely to develop serious cardiovascular problems. It also aims to find out whether health parameters like blood pressure improve. Overweight and obesity are linked to cardiovascular disease. Survodutide is a medicine that is developed to help people with obesity or overweight to lose weight. Participants are divided into 3 groups of almost equal size. 2 groups get different doses of survodutide and 1 group gets placebo. Placebo looks like survodutide but does not contain any medicine. Every participant has a 2 in 3 chance of getting survodutide. Participants inject survodutide or placebo under the skin once a week. All participants also receive counselling on diet and physical activity. Participants are in the study for up to 2 years and 3 months. During this time, it is planned that participants visit the study site up to 21 times and attend remote visits by video calls. During these visits, the doctors check participants' cardiovascular and overall health. The results are compared between survodutide and placebo groups.
