The study will first determine the optimal dose of inupadenant to be given in combination with carboplatin and pemetrexed to patients that progressed after receiving first line anti-PD(L)1 treatment for locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. Breast cancer (BC) is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women. Systemic cancer treatments are an important contributor to dramatic improvements in the long-term survival of women with BC. However, cancer treatment can lead to cognitive impairment and declines in quality of life in women with BC. Many cancer survivors experience memory and brain function decline following chemotherapy which can last for years. A newer diet pattern, Mediterranean-DASH \[Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension\] Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay (MIND), was shown to help with protecting brain functions. The MIND diet is high in anti-inflammatory nutrients (e.g., omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), carotenoids, B-vitamins, and polyphenols) and limits the intake of brain-unhealthy foods (i.e., butter/margarine, cheese, red meat, fried foods, pastries, and sweets), which may help alleviate negative cognitive outcomes from cancer treatments. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images are routinely used in radiation treatment delivery workflows to align patients with the treatment beam. Conventional CBCT image quality is sufficient for this task but not good enough for other radiotherapy-related tasks, such as contouring anatomical structures and calculating radiation dose distributions. HyperSight is a new CBCT imaging system manufactured by Varian Medical Systems. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the integration of the HyperSight imaging system with Varian's TrueBeam radiotherapy system, a linear accelerator with a C-arm gantry that rotates about the patient to delivery radiation to the target malignancy. HyperSight CBCT images will be acquired prospectively from patients who are receiving radiation treatment. The HyperSight/TrueBeam system will be used for imaging only; patients receive their radiation treatment on cleared devices and no aspect of their treatment is affected by participation in the study. HyperSight images collected during the study will be evaluated for quality and utility and compared to conventional CBCT images as well as fan beam CT images used for treatment planning. Read Less

This is a prospective study comparing partial mastectomy performed with routine cavity shave margins and Savi Scout® localization to partial mastectomy performed with selective margins and Savi Scout® localization. The primary objective is to determine the difference in positive margin rate between the two methods. The secondary objectives are to determine the differences in the rate of re-excision, volume of tissue extracted and Breast-Q® score between the two methods. It is hypothesized that the Savi Scout® will allow for decreased volume of tissue excised when compared to routine cavity shave margins without any difference in positive margin rate or rate of re-excision. The Childhood Cancer Survivor Study (CCSS) will investigate the long-term effects of cancer and its associated therapies. A retrospective cohort study will be conducted through a multi-institutional collaboration, which will involve the identification and active follow-up of a cohort of approximately 50,000 survivors of cancer, diagnosed before 21 years of age, between 1970 and 1999 and 10,000 sibling controls. This project will study children and young adults exposed to specific therapeutic modalities, including radiation, chemotherapy, and/or surgery, who are at increased risk of late-occurring adverse health outcomes. This phase III trial compares the effect of adding surgery to a standard of care immunotherapy-based drug combination versus a standard of care immunotherapy-based drug combination alone in treating patients with kidney cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, ipilimumab, pembrolizumab, and avelumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Axitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Surgery to remove the kidney, called a nephrectomy, is also considered standard of care; however, doctors who treat kidney cancer do not agree on its benefits. It is not yet known if the addition of surgery to an immunotherapy-based drug combination works better than an immunotherapy-based drug combination alone in treating patients with kidney cancer.
