This phase III trial studies how well the addition of radiotherapy to the usual treatment (chemotherapy) works compared to the usual treatment alone in treating patients with esophageal and gastric cancer that has spread to a limited number of other places in the body (oligometastatic disease). Radiotherapy uses high energy x-rays, gamma rays, or protons to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Drugs used in usual chemotherapy, such as leucovorin, 5-fluorouracil, oxaliplatin, and capecitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. This phase III trial tests two questions by two separate comparisons of therapies. The first question is whether enhanced therapy (apalutamide in combination with abiraterone + prednisone) added to standard of care (prostate radiation therapy and short term androgen deprivation) is more effective compared to standard of care alone in patients with prostate cancer who experience biochemical recurrence (a rise in the blood level of prostate specific antigen \[PSA\] after surgical removal of the prostate cancer). A second question tests treatment in patients with biochemical recurrence who show prostate cancer spreading outside the pelvis (metastasis) by positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. In these patients, the benefit of adding metastasis-directed radiation to enhanced therapy (apalutamide in combination with abiraterone + prednisone) is tested. Diagnostic procedures, such as PET, may help doctors look for cancer that has spread to the pelvis. Androgens are hormones that may cause the growth of prostate cancer cells. Apalutamide may help fight prostate cancer by blocking the use of androgens by the tumor cells. Metastasis-directed targeted radiation therapy uses high energy rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors that have spread. This trial may help doctors determine if using PET results to deliver more tailored treatment (i.e., adding apalutamide, with or without targeted radiation therapy, to standard of care treatment) works better than standard of care treatment alone in patients with biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer. This phase III trial compares hepatic arterial infusion (HAI) (pump chemotherapy) in addition to standard of care chemotherapy versus standard of care chemotherapy alone in treating patients with colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver (liver metastases) and cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable). HAI uses a catheter to carry a tumor-killing chemotherapy drug called floxuridine directly into the liver. HAI is already approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in metastatic colorectal cancer to the liver, but it is only available at a small number of hospitals, and most of the time it is not used until standard chemotherapy stops working. Standard chemotherapy drugs work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Prostate cancer is a significant concern for Latiné men, with over 17,000 new cases annually. Decision-making for treatment is complex, especially due to barriers like low health literacy and cultural factors. Research on survivorship and post-treatment issues like erectile dysfunction is lacking. To improve care, a study will engage 288 participants across various medical facilities, including 100 at Cleveland Clinic. Thirty subjects will participate in focus groups representing Spanish-speaking Latiné, bilingual Latiné, and English-speaking non-Latiné individuals to understand their perspectives and enhance communication. This aims to develop tailored resources, like Spanish-language educational videos, addressing language and cultural needs for informed decision-making. Read Less

Group dance classes have been found to improve markers of quality of life and physical health (i.e., balance) among some populations engaged in rehabilitation, such as the elderly and individuals with Parkinson Disease. However, such interventions have yet to be studied among cancer survivors despite the relevance of quality of life and physical health within cancer survivorship. Group dance classes are a promising avenue in that they deliver activity-based medicine in a social context, thus potentially improving physical as well as psychosocial aspects of health. This phase III trial compares the effects of shorter chemotherapy (chemo)-immunotherapy without anthracyclines to usual chemo-immunotherapy for the treatment of early-stage triple negative breast cancer. Paclitaxel is in a class of medications called anti-microtubule agents. It stops cancer cells from growing and dividing and may kill them. Carboplatin is in a class of medications known as platinum-containing compounds. It works in a way similar to the anticancer drug cisplatin, but may be better tolerated than cisplatin. Carboplatin works by killing, stopping or slowing the growth of cancer cells. Cyclophosphamide is in a class of medications called alkylating agents. It works by damaging the cell's deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and may kill cancer cells. It may also lower the body's immune response. Docetaxel is in a class of medications called taxanes. It stops cancer cells from growing and dividing and may kill them. Doxorubicin is an anthracycline chemotherapy drug that damages DNA and may kill cancer cells. Pembrolizumab may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Shorter treatment without anthracycline chemotherapy may work the same as the usual anthracycline chemotherapy treatment for early-stage triple negative breast cancer. Read Less

The goal of this randomized clinical trial is to learn if a healthy eating pattern called the MIND eating plan can reduce cancer-related cognitive impairment (commonly called "chemobrain") and other symptoms commonly experienced by women with newly diagnosed stage II-III triple negative breast cancer as they go through chemotherapy. The symptoms that will be measured include changes in memory and mental function, fatigue, sleep quality, anxiety, and depression. Researchers will compare measures from women in the 12-week MIND eating plan virtual intervention to a general health coaching (GHC) virtual intervention to see if the MIND eating plan helps reduce symptoms. Women will be contacted for follow-up measures 6 months after the 12-week interventions. Women randomly assigned to the GHC at the beginning of the study will have the opportunity to complete the MIND intervention after the 6-month follow-up. All study sessions and measures are done remotely. Participants will: * Be randomized to MIND or GHC interventions * Complete all study measures remotely (by online questionnaires, virtual visits and mail ) * Attend 8 virtual sessions of about 15-60 minutes each over 12 weeks * Be sent some of the key foods in the MIND eating plan during the MIND intervention * Be contacted for follow-up measures 6 months after interventions Read Less

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if the vaccine FK-PC101 works to delay or prevent the return of prostate cancer in men who have had surgery to remove their prostate cancer. It will also learn about the safety of FK-PC101. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does FK-PC101 delay or prevent the return of prostate cancer following surgery? What medical problems do participants (subjects) have when taking FK-PC101? Researchers will compare FK-PC101 to current treatment practice to see if FK-PC101 works to prevent or delay the return of prostate cancer following surgery to remove the prostate cancer tumor. Subjects will: Have a sample of the prostate cancer tissue collected at the time of surgery to remove this tissue from the body. This tissue will then be used to create a personalized vaccine that is specific to your prostate cancer. If randomly selected to receive the vaccine, subjects will receive the vaccine up to 7 times over a 6-month period. In addition to the treatment visits for those randomized to receive FK-PC101, there will be up to 4 follow up visits to the clinic over a 22-month (nearly 2 year) period. For subjects randomized to receive current treatment practice, they will be asked to attend up to 8 visits over 22 months to track if there is any detectable cancer. Should their prostate cancer return within a year following surgery, they will be eligible to receive FK-PC101, which already had been produced and thus no additional tumor tissue would need to be obtained. Subjects in both study arms will have regular blood tests and scans to test whether their prostate cancer has returned. Read Less
