The purpose of this study is to evaluate the abilities of Cystatin C (CysC) and CysC-based estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR) equations to characterize the pharmacokinetics (PK) profiles of meropenem and cefepime relative to Serum Creatinine (SCR), Serum Creatinine based Equation (SCRE)and iohexol at the population and individual levels in critically ill adult patients with suspected or documented AMR Gram-negative infections. We hypothesize that CysC and CysC-based eGFR equations will characterize the PK profiles of meropenem and cefepime at the population and individual levels with greater accuracy and precision than SCR and SCREs. Iohexol will be administered to patients enrolled in the study and serve as the reference indicator of measured Glomerular Filtration Rate (mGFR), which is the gold standard assessment of kidney function. We hypothesize that the predictive performances of CysC and CysC-based eGFR equations in estimating the PK profiles of meropenem and cefepime at the population and individual levels will be comparable to iohexol. The information obtained in this study will be used to develop PK/pharmacodynamics (PD) optimized meropenem and cefepime dosing schemes based on the renal function biomarker population PK (PopPK) model with the best predictive performance for clinical use in the treatment of critically ill adult patients with suspected or documented AMR Gram-negative infections and varying degrees of renal function. This is a Phase 2, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multiple dose study to assess the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of JK07 in participants aged 18-85 with heart failure. There will be 2 cohorts in this study: Cohort 1: Heart failure (HF) participants with left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of ≤ 40%. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called spesolimab helps people with pyoderma gangrenosum (PG). The main aim is to see whether spesolimab leads to closure of PG ulcers. This study is open to adults with ulcerative PG with at least 1 ulcer that measures between 5 cm\^2 to 80 cm\^2 in size. This study has 2 parts. In Part 1, participants are put into groups randomly, which means by chance. 1 group gets spesolimab and the other group gets placebo. Placebo injections look like spesolimab injections, but do not contain any medicine. Every participant has a 2 in 3 chance of getting spesolimab. For the first 8 weeks, participants also take corticosteroid medicine by mouth. In Part 2, participants are put into groups again. Participants without open ulcers have an equal chance of getting spesolimab or placebo. Participants with open skin ulcers will get spesolimab. In both parts, participants receive spesolimab or placebo as an infusion into a vein every 4 weeks. Participants are in the study for about 1.5 years. During this time, they visit the study site 20 times. At study visits, doctors check the participant's skin for signs of PG. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. The results of the groups are compared to see whether the treatment works. Read Less

This study is open to adults aged 50 years and older with geographic atrophy that was diagnosed by imaging of the retina. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1584862 improves the eyes in people with geographic atrophy and to find the most suitable dose. This study has 4 treatment groups. Participants are put into groups randomly, which means by chance. Initially participants can join a BI 1584862 and a placebo group; then more participants are put randomly in 2 additional BI 1584862 groups and a placebo group. Participants are in the study for 1 year. During this time, they visit the study site 13 times. At the visits, doctors check the severity of participants' eye disease and collect information on any health problems. They take detailed pictures of the back of the eye, the retina, with imaging methods called fundus autofluorescence (FAF), near-infrared reflectance (NIR), and optical coherence tomography (OCT). They measure areas of the retina that appear healthy (bright) or start to waste away (dark, atrophy). The changes over time are then compared between the treatment groups. Read Less

This phase III trial compares the effect of usual treatment of chemotherapy and steroids and a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) to the same treatment plus blinatumomab. Blinatumomab is a Bi-specific T-Cell Engager ('BiTE') that may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. This phase III trial compares the effect of adding cetuximab to pembrolizumab versus pembrolizumab alone in treating patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) that has come back after a period of improvement (recurrent) and/or that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). Cetuximab is in a class of medications called monoclonal antibodies. It binds to a protein called EGFR, which is found on some types of tumor cells. This may help keep tumor cells from growing. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the tumor, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving cetuximab and pembrolizumab together may be more effective at treating patients with recurrent and/or metastatic HNSCC than pembrolizumab alone. Read Less

This study is open to people with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) or progressive pulmonary fibrosis (PPF). They can only take part if they have completed treatment in a previous study with a medicine called nerandomilast or BI 1015550. The goal of this study is to find out how well people with pulmonary fibrosis tolerate long- term treatment with nerandomilast. The study also tests whether nerandomilast improves lung function and prolongs the time until symptoms get worse, participants need to go to the hospital, or die. Every participant takes nerandomilast as tablets for up to 1 year and 10 months. The participants may also continue their regular treatment for pulmonary fibrosis during the study. Participants visit their doctors regularly. During these visits, the doctors collect information on any health problems of the participants. Participants also regularly do lung function tests.
