The purpose of this study is to learn about how the flu and COVID vaccines act when given alone or when mixed together. This study is seeking healthy participants aged 18 or older. All participants in this study will receive only 1 shot to their arm, either a flu or COVID vaccine, alone or mixed. The purpose of this trial is to assess the safety and relative efficacy of CVXGA (CVXGA50), a KP.2 containing vaccine, compared to COMIRNATY® (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA; 2024-2025 Formula), a currently approved COVID-19 vaccine in the prevention of symptomatic, RT-PCR-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection. The goal of this project is to rapidly screen promising agents, in the setting of an adaptive platform trial, for treatment of critically ill COVID-19 patients. The 2019 Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) is a global pandemic secondary to a novel coronavirus - SARS-CoV-2. The reported case-fatality ratio for SARS-CoV-2 in the United States is 1.8% with a current death toll of \>300,000 and climbing.4 There is no accepted standard of care or FDA approved therapies for treatment of COVID-19. Virus specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) have become an important part of the treatment landscape for viral reactivation post hematopoietic and solid organ transplantation. Donor derived CTLs have been shown to be safe and effective against a variety of viruses including CMV, EBV, BK and adenovirus. We hypothesize that SARS-CoV-2 specific CTLs generated from a previously infected family donor will be safe and effective for treatment of COVID-19 in family members with mild to moderate disease. This project aims to monitor the side effects of COVID-19 vaccines worldwide actively. The primary objectives of the project include a) to estimate the prevalence of each local and systemic side effect of each COVID-19 vaccine among healthcare workers (HCW), old adults over +65 (OA), and schoolteachers (ST); b) to evaluate the potential demographic and medical risk factors for side effects frequency and intensity; c) to evaluate the long-term consequences of COVID-19 vaccines. The secondary objectives include a) to evaluate the relative safety of COVID-19 vaccines compared to each other; b) to evaluate the impact of palliative drugs used by the recently vaccinated individuals on their short-term side effects resolution.
