The purpose of this trial is to assess the safety and relative efficacy of CVXGA (CVXGA50), a KP.2 containing vaccine, compared to COMIRNATY® (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA; 2024-2025 Formula), a currently approved COVID-19 vaccine in the prevention of symptomatic, RT-PCR-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection. This study evaluates immunologic response following COVID-19 vaccination in children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer. Vaccines work by stimulating the body's immune cells to respond against a specific disease. The immune response produces protection from that disease. Effects from cancer and from treatments for cancer can reduce the body's natural disease fighting ability (called immunity). Factors such as vaccine type, timing of vaccine dosing related to treatment for cancer and number of vaccine doses or "boosts" (extra vaccine shots) may strengthen or diminish the body's protective immune response. This study may help researchers learn more about how the body's immune system responds to the COVID-19 vaccine when the vaccination is given during or after cancer treatment. Read Less

The goal of this project is to rapidly screen promising agents, in the setting of an adaptive platform trial, for treatment of critically ill COVID-19 patients. The 2019 Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) is a global pandemic secondary to a novel coronavirus - SARS-CoV-2. The reported case-fatality ratio for SARS-CoV-2 in the United States is 1.8% with a current death toll of >300,000 and climbing.4 There is no accepted standard of care or FDA approved therapies for treatment of COVID-19. Virus specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) have become an important part of the treatment landscape for viral reactivation post hematopoietic and solid organ transplantation. Donor derived CTLs have been shown to be safe and effective against a variety of viruses including CMV, EBV, BK and adenovirus. We hypothesize that SARS-CoV-2 specific CTLs generated from a previously infected family donor will be safe and effective for treatment of COVID-19 in family members with mild to moderate disease. This study seeks to define the ultrasound profile of patients with COVID-19, and document the progression of these ultrasound findings to develop prognostication and clinical decision instruments that can help guide management of patient with COVID-19. Primary aims include the development of ARDS, refractory hypoxemia, acute cardiac injury, pulmonary embolism, pneumothorax or death. This project aims to monitor the side effects of COVID-19 vaccines worldwide actively. The primary objectives of the project include a) to estimate the prevalence of each local and systemic side effect of each COVID-19 vaccine among healthcare workers (HCW), old adults over +65 (OA), and schoolteachers (ST); b) to evaluate the potential demographic and medical risk factors for side effects frequency and intensity; c) to evaluate the long-term consequences of COVID-19 vaccines. The secondary objectives include a) to evaluate the relative safety of COVID-19 vaccines compared to each other; b) to evaluate the impact of palliative drugs used by the recently vaccinated individuals on their short-term side effects resolution. This is a multi-center, randomized, triple-blind, placebo-controlled (RCT) study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Dapsone in older adults, and/or in adult patients (≥40yrs of age) with at least one high-risk comorbidity, among those with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection. 3000 infected patients diagnosed with COVID-19, non-hospitalized at the time of enrollment, meeting all inclusion and no exclusion criteria will be randomized (1:1 allocation ratio) to receive either Dapsone or placebo tablets for 21 days, and will be followed up for 7 days after treatment termination for outcome assessment and up to 30 days for safety monitoring.
