The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the acceptability and efficacy of Go Move, a mobile website developed to assist youth with unilateral cerebral palsy and their caregivers with setting goals and selecting exercises and activities to meet the goals. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: Is Go Move accepted by youth with unilateral cerebral palsy and their caregivers? Does Go Move support goal attainment for youth with unilateral cerebral palsy? Participants will set up and participate in a goal-driven home program using the Go Move mobile website. Participants will spend 1 hour and 15 minutes per week for 6 weeks working on their home program and will complete pre-intervention and post-intervention assessments. Read Less

The goal of this prospective cohort study is to learn about the impact of an adapted dance program in youth with cerebral palsy. The main questions it aims to answer are: Are there clinically significant benefits for children with cerebral palsy who participate in an Adaptive Dance Program? Is it feasible to implement an adaptive dance program using action-observation principles for children diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (CP)? The purpose of the study is to see if Clascoterone can help people with male pattern hair loss to recovery and see if the treatment is effective and safe and how well the drug is tolerated by subjects. Within this study, the Clascoterone solution will be compared to a placebo. The study has 2 parts: Part 1 will see if Clascoterone solution is effective and safe compared to a placebo when applied twice daily for up to 6 months. Part 2 will see the long-term safety and efficacy of the Clascoterone solution compared to placebo for additional 6 months in subjects defined as ''responders'' in Part 1. A responder is defined as someone who have responded to the study drug, based on research data. Part 1 of the study is double-blind, meaning that neither the subject nor the study doctor knows which treatment subject is receiving. Part 2 of the study is single-blind and only the study doctor doing the study knows which treatment subject is receiving. Part 1 of the study will start with baseline visit during which subjects will be randomly assigned (by chance) in ratio 2:1 to apply either Clascoterone or placebo solution to their balding areas of the scalp. Subjects will have 5 clinic visits and 2 follow-up phone calls during 6 months of Part 1 duration. Subjects identified as Part 1 responders at Month 6 visit will be again randomly assigned in ratio 2:1 to receive either study drug or placebo. Part 2 of the study will consist of 2 additional clinic visits and treatment will last for further 6 months. Each subject will have also an end of study visit one month after the study drug treatment has been completed or discontinued (it will be one month after end of Part 1 for not responder subjects). For those subjects who complete the whole study (Part 1 and Part 2), the total duration of the study will be about 14 months, with 12 months of treatment with a total of eight clinic visits and two phone calls. Subjects taking part in this study will have the medical tests or procedures described below. They will be asked about their previous medical history and current medications. A brief physical examination will be performed. Vital signs, weight and height will be measured. Electrocardiograms will be performed. Subject's scalp will be checked for any signs of irritation. Two different types of photos will be taken during this study: "global photos", i.e. general photos of the subject's scalp and "macro photos", i.e. close up photos of a region of the subject's scalp. Global photos will be taken to help the subject and the study doctor to assess whether there has been a change in subject's hair growth. Macro photos will be used to count the number of hairs in a region of the subject's scalp and measure other properties of the hair (hair width and hair darkness). Blood draws and urine sample collection for safety laboratory tests. Subject will be asked to complete, on site, the following two questionnaires: Cosmetic Evaluation - a couple of cosmetic questions on acceptability and how easy the study drug is to use. Male Androgenetic Alopecia Questionnaire - some questions about subject's hair assessment. Eligible subjects will be given a supply of the study drug and shown how to use and store it. The first study drug dose will be applied at the clinic under the supervision of the study staff. Subjects will be instructed to apply about 1.5 ml of study drug with a dropper to the balding areas of the scalp on the vertex and the temples twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. Subjects will be asked to bring back all used containers of study drug and all unused study drug to each study visit. Subjects will also be given a diary, shown what things have to be recorded on it and asked to bring back the completed diary to the study center at each visit. Read Less

This study primarily aims to determine whether patients diagnosed with osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) of the knee experience psychological stress due to their diagnosis and treatment plan. Secondarily, this study aims to determine whether knee OCD patients experience a change in stress and depression as they progress through their standard-of-care treatment plan, and whether they have impaired psychological readiness for return to sport. The goal of this pilot clinical trial is to learn about the implementation of Therapy Together, a pediatric constraint-induced movement therapy program in young children with unilateral cerebral palsy. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: Is the Therapy Together program effective in improving hand function and occupational performance compared to usual care? Is it feasible to implement the Therapy Together program within the standard care, early intervention framework? Participants will participate in an 8-week pediatric constraint-induced movement therapy program. Researchers will compare the group completing the Therapy Together Program to a group that is receiving usual care to see if there is a difference in the change in hand function, occupational performance, and development. Acne is common illness of adolescents and young adults which is associated with substantial morbidity. While topical treatments are often sufficient for mild acne, moderate to severe acne often requires treatment with systemic medications such as oral antibiotics, hormonal therapies such spironolactone, and isotretinoin. Sebum overproduction is fundamental to the pathogenesis of acne with associated disordered keratinization and subsequent microbial colonization and inflammation resulting in the clinical manifestations of acne. Given the influence of hormones on sebum production, therapies that address these underlying hormonal factors such as spironolactone and oral contraceptive pills represent an underutilized treatment option for women with acne and could help decrease the use of long-term oral antibiotics in this patient population. The purpose of this trial is to evaluate the comparative effectiveness of spironolactone versus doxycycline hyclate (tetracycline class antibiotic) for women with acne. Read Less

The Clinical Assessment for Sports Exertion (CASE) addresses the physical performance of athletes by quantifying physiological and symptomatic responses to dynamic exertion. The CASE is highly sport-specific as it tests multiple body positions that mimic requirements typical of individual and contact sports activities including soccer, gymnastics, cheerleading, swimming, and basketball. It was developed by clinicians at the Baylor Scott and White Sports Concussion Program in an effort to identify specific system impairments in athletes who were unable to successfully demonstrate readiness for return to play protocols. Like the other published forms of concussion exertion testing described above, the CASE is a provocative exercise test that may also prove to be useful in making informed return-to-play decisions based upon the athlete's symptomatology. The purpose of this pilot study is to determine whether two weeks of multi-channel FES along with task-specific training will improve UE function when compared to traditional rehabilitation or usual care. The secondary purpose of this study is to find whether two weeks of multi-channel FES along with task-specific training will improve shoulder range of motion, grip strength, and patient reported function when compared to traditional rehabilitation or usual care in patients with unilateral stroke resulting in hemiplegia.The following null hypotheses are established for this study: There will be no difference in UE function when using multi-channel FES along with task-specific training compared to traditional rehabilitation or usual care in patients with first time stroke and hemiplegia during in patient stroke rehabilitation. There will be no difference in shoulder range of motion and grip strength when using multi-channel FES along with task-specific training compared to traditional rehabilitation or usual care in patients with first time stroke and hemiplegia during in patient stroke rehabilitation. There will be no difference in self-reported upper extremity function when using multi-channel FES along with task-specific training compared to traditional rehabilitation or usual care in patients with first time stroke and hemiplegia during in patient stroke rehabilitation.The research design for this experimental study will be a randomized controlled trial. The manipulated independent variable in this study will be 1) FES using Xcite with traditional therapy and 2) traditional therapy. The dependent variables in this study are the following: Upper extremity function measured by The Action Research Arm Test, The Box and Block Test, and The Nine-Hole Peg Test; Grip strength measured using a dynamometer; Range of motion at the shoulder measured using a standard goniometer; and Participants' perception of improvement in function measured by a modified Patient-Specific Functional Scale.
