This study has two parts: Part 1 and Part 2. The purpose of this study in Part 1, Dose Escalation Part is to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or the recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) of Debio 0123 as monotherapy with repeated dosing in adults with advanced solid tumors that recurred or progressed after prior therapy and/or for whom no standard therapy of proven benefit is available. The purpose in Part 2, Expansion Part of this study, is to characterize the safety and tolerability of Debio 0123 in each study arm and overall when administered as monotherapy at the MTD/RP2D determined during the Dose Escalation Part 1 and to evaluate the preliminary anti-tumor activity of Debio 0123 when administered as monotherapy to participants in each study arm. AVX-001 (LUCIDITY) is a Phase 3 study to evaluate avexitide compared to placebo in participants with post bariatric hypoglycemia (PBH) related to Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB). The study will assess avexitide compared to placebo for safety and efficacy, measured by reduction of hypoglycemic events. The study includes a Screening period with a Run-in period (of up to 6- and 3-weeks, respectively); a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study treatment period of 16 weeks; and a two-part open-label extension (OLE) period with a duration of approximately 32 weeks. This study is open to adults with advanced cancer (solid tumors) and people with advanced head and neck cancer. The study has 2 parts. The purpose of Part 1 of this study is to find the highest dose of a medicine called BI 765179 that people with solid tumors can tolerate when taken alone or together with a medicine called ezabenlimab. The goal of Part 2 is to find out whether BI 765179 in combination with a medicine called pembrolizumab helps people with advanced head and neck cancer. In Part 1, each participant is put into 1 of 2 groups. Participants get BI 765179 alone or in combination with ezabenlimab as infusion into a vein every 3 weeks. In Part 2, participants are also divided into 2 groups. 1 group gets a low dose of BI 765179 in combination with pembrolizumab and the other group gets a high dose of BI 765179 in combination with pembrolizumab. Participants receive the study treatment as infusions into a vein. BI 765179, ezabenlimab, and pembrolizumab are antibodies that may help the immune system fight cancer. In this study, BI 765179 is given to people for the first time. Participants can stay in the study up to 2 years if they benefit from treatment and can tolerate it. This study is open to adults who are at least 18 years old living with obesity and have: * a confirmed liver disease called non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)/metabolic associated steatohepatitis (MASH) and * moderate or advanced liver fibrosis People with a history of acute or chronic liver diseases other than MASH or chronic alcohol intake cannot take part in this study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called survodutide helps people with MASH and moderate or advanced liver fibrosis improve their liver function. This study has 2 parts. The purpose of the first part of this study is to find out the effect of survodutide on MASH and liver fibrosis. The purpose of the second part is to find out how safe and effective survodutide is in improving liver function. Participants are put into 2 groups randomly, which means by chance. 1 group gets survodutide and 1 group gets placebo. Placebo looks like survodutide but does not contain any medicine. Each participant has twice the chance of getting survodutide. Participants and doctors do not know who is in which group. Participants inject survodutide or placebo under their skin once a week. The survodutide doses are slowly increased until the target dose is reached. All participants receive counselling to make changes to their diet and to exercise regularly. Participants are in the study for up to 7 years. During this time, they regularly visit the study site or have remote visits by video call. For about the first year of the study, participants have these visits every 2 weeks, increasing to every 4 weeks and then every 6 weeks. After being in the study for a little over a year participants will then alternate between visiting the study site or having a remote visit every 3 months until the end of the study. The doctors check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. The participants' body weight and effects on the stomach and intestines are regularly measured. At some visits the liver is measured using different imaging methods. At 2 or 3 visits doctors take a small sample of liver tissue (biopsy). The participants also fill in questionnaires about their symptoms and quality of life. The results are compared between the groups to see whether the treatment works. Read Less

This study is open to adults aged 50 years and older with geographic atrophy that was diagnosed by imaging of the retina. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1584862 improves the eyes in people with geographic atrophy and to find the most suitable dose. This study has 4 treatment groups. Participants are put into groups randomly, which means by chance. Initially participants can join a BI 1584862 and a placebo group; then more participants are put randomly in 2 additional BI 1584862 groups and a placebo group. Participants are in the study for 1 year. During this time, they visit the study site 13 times. At the visits, doctors check the severity of participants' eye disease and collect information on any health problems. They take detailed pictures of the back of the eye, the retina, with imaging methods called fundus autofluorescence (FAF), near-infrared reflectance (NIR), and optical coherence tomography (OCT). They measure areas of the retina that appear healthy (bright) or start to waste away (dark, atrophy). The changes over time are then compared between the treatment groups. Read Less
