Carboplatin Treatment Options in Alabama

This phase III trial studies if selumetinib works just as well as the standard treatment with carboplatin/vincristine (CV) for subjects with NF1-associated low grade glioma (LGG), and to see if selumetinib is better than CV in improving vision in subjects with LGG of the optic pathway (vision nerves). Selumetinib is a drug that works by blocking some enzymes that low-grade glioma tumor cells need for their growth. This results in killing tumor cells. Chemotherapy drugs, such as carboplatin and vincristine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether selumetinib works better in treating patients with NF1-associated low-grade glioma compared to standard therapy with carboplatin and vincristine. Read Less

This is an exploratory, signal finding, randomized, placebo-controlled, blinded, multi-center Phase 2b trial of the anti GDF-15 antibody Visugromab (CTL-002) versus Placebo, combined with Immunochemotherapy (ICT: Pembrolizumab, Pemetrexed, Carboplatin) in the first-line treatment of participants with newly diagnosed metastatic non-squamous NSCLC. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, doxorubicin, fluorouracil, vincristine sulfate, carboplatin, etoposide, irinotecan, sorafenib, gemcitabine and oxaliplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. This study will evaluate the combination of a fixed dose pembrolizumab/vibostolimab co-formulation (MK-7684A) with etoposide/platinum chemotherapy followed by MK-7684A compared to the combination of atezolizumab with etoposide/platinum chemotherapy followed by atezolizumab in the first-line treatment of Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer (ES-SCLC). The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and pharmacokinetics of boserolimab (MK-5890) when administered alone and in combination with pembrolizumab (MK-3475) in adults with advanced solid tumors. The initial course of boserolimab monotherapy or boserolimab plus pembrolizumab combination therapy will be for up to 35 administrations (approximately 2 years).
