S0019 Combination Chemotherapy With or Without Rituximab in Treating Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Terminated
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Monoclonal antibodies such as rituximab can locate cancer cells and either kill them or deliver cancer-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. It is not yet known whether combination chemotherapy is more effective with or without rituximab for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy... Read More

S9914: Combination Chemotherapy Plus Filgrastim in Untreated Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer
Completed
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. Colony-stimulating factors such as filgrastim may increase the number of immune cells found in bone marrow or peripheral blood and may help a person's immune system recover from the side effects of chemotherapy.
PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy plus filgrastim in treating pati... Read More

S0121, Neoadjuvant Carboplatin, Paclitaxel, and Gemcitabine Followed by Cisplatin and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced or Recurrent Carcinoma of the Urothelium
Completed
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, paclitaxel, gemcitabine, and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Giving chemotherapy before radiation therapy, and combining chemotherapy with radiation therapy, may kill more tumor cells.
PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of neoadjuvant gemcitabine, paclitaxel, and carboplatin followed by cispl... Read More
