The primary objective of this study is to compare the effect of farletuzumab versus placebo in combination with either a platinum agent (carboplatin) with paclitaxel or a platinum agent (carboplatin or cisplatin) with pemetrexed followed by farletuzumab or placebo on investigator-assessed progression free survival (PFS) as determined by Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) v.1.1 or definitive clinical disease progression (eg, new occurrence of positive fluid cytology) in chemotherapy naive participants with folate receptoralpha (FRA)-expressing Stage IV adenocarcinoma of the lung. The primary objective of the study is to determine the maximum tolerated dose of andecaliximab monotherapy and to evaluate the safety and tolerability of andecaliximab (formerly GS-5745) alone and in combination with chemotherapy. The study consists of 2 parts (Parts A and B). Participants can only qualify for and participate in 1 part. Part A is a sequential dose escalation to determine the maximum tolerated dose of andecaliximab in participants with advanced solid tumors that are refractory to or intolerant to standard therapy or for which no standard therapy exists. In Part A, participants will receive andecaliximab only. Part B is a dose expansion to obtain additional safety and tolerability data for andecaliximab in participants with advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma, lung adenocarcinoma, lung squamous cell carcinoma, esophagogastric adenocarcinoma, colorectal cancer, or breast cancer. The study has a safety and a Phase 2 portion. In the safety portion of the study, subjects with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer will be treated with study drug (CS-7017) in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel to evaluate safety. In the Phase 2 portion of the study, subjects will receive study drug (CS-7017) or placebo in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel to evaluate effectiveness and safety. This study seeks to establish the recommended Phase 2 dose (RPTD) of veliparib in combination with nivolumab and platinum doublet chemotherapy (carboplatin/paclitaxel or carboplatin/pemetrexed) (Phase 1 portion) and to assess whether the addition of nivolumab to veliparib in combination with platinum doublet chemotherapy results will improve progression free survival (PFS) compared to veliparib with platinum doublet chemotherapy alone in participants with metastatic or advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) (Phase 2 portion). RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as docetaxel and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as trastuzumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Lapatinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving docetaxel together with carboplatin, trastuzumab, and lapatinib may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying the side effects of giving docetaxel together with carboplatin, trastuzumab, and lapatinib in treating patients with early stage breast cancer. Read Less

This study will begin with a 30 participant lead-in part: these 30 participants will receive cetuximab manufactured by ImClone on a weekly basis in combination with other chemotherapy drugs \[cisplatin or carboplatin plus 5-fluorouracil (5-FU)\] administered every 3 weeks. After 18 weeks, participants who benefit from this treatment may continue to receive cetuximab once-weekly until progression of the disease, an unacceptable side effect occurs, participants withdraw consent, or the study is closed. In the second part of this study, 200 participants will be randomized in 2 arms: * 100 participants will receive commercial cetuximab manufactured by ImClone (Group A) * 100 participants will receive cetuximab manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim (Group B). All these 200 participants will receive other chemotherapy drugs (cisplatin or carboplatin plus 5-FU) administered every 3 weeks. After 18 weeks, participants who benefit from this treatment may continue to receive cetuximab once-weekly until progression of the disease, an unacceptable side effect occurs, participants withdraw consent, or the study is closed. This phase II trial studies how well temsirolimus, carboplatin, and paclitaxel as first-line therapy works in treating patients with newly diagnosed stage III-IV clear cell ovarian cancer. Temsirolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
