This study is trying to learn and understand if the chemotherapy drug called carboplatin works as well as the standard therapy. The standard therapy for Low Grade Glioma (LGG) in children and young adults is using a combination of carboplatin and vincristine. Studies in children have shown that the use of carboplatin alone has promise of being just as effective for treating LGG as standard therapy. Additionally, this study will try to understand if treatment with carboplatin alone is associated with an improved quality of life for LGG patients and their families. Read Less

The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of treatment with carboplatin/paclitaxel\* PLUS pembrolizumab (MK-3475) and maintenance olaparib (MK-7339) in women with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC), fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer. It is not yet known whether chemotherapy and radiation therapy are more effective when given with or without additional chemotherapy in treating cervical cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying chemotherapy and pelvic radiation therapy to see how well they work when given with or without additional chemotherapy in treating patients with high-risk early-stage cervical cancer after radical hysterectomy. The primary aim of this randomized phase III trial was to study whether the addition of maintenance chemotherapy delivered after surgical resection and focal radiation would be better than surgery and focal radiation alone. The trial also studied if patients who received induction chemotherapy and then either achieved a complete response or went on to have a complete resection would also benefit from maintenance chemotherapy. Children ages 1-21 years with newly diagnosed intracranial ependymoma were included. There were 2 arms that were not randomized. One arm studied patients with Grade II tumors located in the supratentorial compartment that were completely resected. One arm studied patients with residual tumor and those patients all received maintenance chemotherapy after focal radiation. Chemotherapy drugs, such as vincristine sulfate, carboplatin, cyclophosphamide, etoposide, and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Eligible patients with stage 2 and 3 triple negative breast cancer will be treated with 4 cycles of neoadjuvant paclitaxel/carboplatin/pembrolizumab. A PET scan will be performed at baseline and after 1 cycle of therapy. A breast MRI will be performed after treatment completion. Patients with complete clinical response will proceed to surgery. Patients with clinical residual disease will complete neoadjuvant rescue with 4 cycles of doxorubicin/cyclophosphamide prior to surgery. If residual disease identified after surgery, adjuvant therapy to be determined by the treating oncologist (may include doxorubicin/cyclophosphamide/pembrolizumab, capecitabine etc). Read Less
