Pilot Study of Topotecan/Vincristine With Subconjunctival Carboplatin for Patients With Bilateral Retinoblastoma
Withdrawn
The investigators are testing subtenon carboplatin in combination with vincristine and topotecan given by vein in the hopes of finding a drug combination that may be effective against retinoblastoma that has come back (recurrent) or is resistant to other treatment (refractory). The goals of this study are: * To decide if the drug combination is a useful treatment for recurrent or refractory retinoblastoma * To test the safety of the drug combination and to see what kind of effects (good and ba... Preoperative Pemetrexed and Carboplatin for Select Stage IB, II, and III Non-Squamous Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer
Completed
The purpose of this multi-center Phase II trial is to examine the impact of pemetrexed/carboplatin in the preoperative treatment of patients with select stage IB, II,and III non-squamous NSCLC. Because patients with non-squamous type NSCLC have been shown to have better survival rates than patients with squamous tumors when given pemetrexed with a platinum agent, only patients with non-squamous NSCLC (adenocarcinoma, large cell, and undifferentiated), not including squamous histology, will be al... Treatment Based on Molecular Profiling Diagnosis Carcinoma of Unknown Primary Site
Completed
This is a non-randomized Phase II study. Patients determined at initial diagnosis to have a carcinoma of unknown primary site (CUP) will have their treatment selected with the use of a molecular profiling assay. The assay will be performed on paraffin-embedded tumor tissue from a biopsy specimen. Patients given specific diagnoses (e.g., lung, pancreas, colon, breast, renal cell, prostate and ovarian cancer) will receive treatment regimens of proven activity. If no specific diagnosis is made with... Read More

Carboplatin, Pemetrexed, and Panitumumab in Patients With Advanced Non-Squamous K-ras Wild Type NSCLC
Completed
The purpose of this multicenter, Phase II trial is to examine the role of a well-tolerated novel agent, panitumumab, in combination with a modern platinum doublet regimen using carboplatin and pemetrexed, in patients with advanced non-squamous wild type K-ras non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). If this treatment proves to be well tolerated and associated with efficacy, this would provide rationale for further randomized studies.

A Trial of Amrubicin and Carboplatin With Pegfilgrastim in Patients With Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer
Completed
This proposed trial will investigate the combination of amrubicin and carboplatin in the first-line treatment of patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES- SCLC). Since myelosuppression is the most common toxicity produced by this drug combination, pegfilgrastim will be administered with each treatment cycle. This trial will be the first clinical trial to evaluate a combination of amrubicin and carboplatin in the first-line treatment of ES SCLC in a U.S. population.

Trial of Gemcitabine/Carboplatin With or Without Iniparib (SAR240550) (a PARP1 Inhibitor) in Subjects With Previously Untreated Stage IV Squamous Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)
Completed
To evaluate the overall survival (OS) of patients with advanced squamous cell lung cancer receiving the combination of gemcitabine/carboplatin either with or without Iniparib. Based on data generated by BiPar/Sanofi, it is concluded that iniparib does not possess characteristics typical of the PARP inhibitor class. The exact mechanism has not yet been fully elucidated, however based on experiments on tumor cells performed in the laboratory, iniparib is a novel investigational anti-cancer agent... Read More
