This phase I trial studies the side effects and the best dose of trametinib when given together with combination chemotherapy and radiation therapy in treating patients with stage III non-small cell lung cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. Trametinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Giving trametinib, combination chemotherapy, and radiation therapy may be a better treatment for non-small cell lung cancer. Read Less

This is a Phase III, global, double-blind, 2-arm randomized study designed to compare the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab + paclitaxel + carboplatin + bevacizumab versus placebo + paclitaxel + carboplatin + bevacizumab. ISIS 3521 may help kill more cancer cells by making tumor cells more sensitive to chemotherapy. It is not yet known if carboplatin and paclitaxel are more effective with or without ISIS 3521. The purpose of this study is to determine the correct dose and safety of adding a new cancer drug, venetoclax, to a standard combination of chemotherapy drugs as a second treatment for relapsed/refractory DLBCL. In this study, venetoclax will be added to RICE (rituximab, ifosfamide, carboplatin, etoposide), a common set to cancer drugs used as a second line treatment for relapsed/refractory DLBCL. Venetoclax, is a new targeted anti-cancer drug, which works by mimicking a particular protein produced by the tumor and interrupting its normal processes, ultimately causing the tumor cells to die. Adding venetoclax to the standard RICE regimen is believed to increase the chance of getting cancer into remission. Venetoclax is experimental because it is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of relapsed/refractory DLBCL. The purpose of this clinical trial is to find out whether or not the combination of NOV-002 with chemotherapy (paclitaxel and carboplatin) is better at improving overall survival time when compared to chemotherapy alone in people with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Earlier clinical trials in NSCLC showed that patients treated with NOV-002 in combination with chemotherapy had a better response (their tumors got smaller in one United States Phase 1/2 trial) than patients who received chemotherapy alone; and in two Phase 2 trials done in Russian patients, at the end of one year, patients treated with NOV-002 with chemotherapy had a better survival rate than patients who did not receive NOV-002 with their chemotherapy.
