This randomized phase II trial studies how well transoral surgery followed by low-dose or standard-dose radiation therapy works in treating patients with human papilloma virus (HPV) positive stage III-IVA oropharyngeal cancer. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving radiation therapy with chemotherapy may kill any tumor cells that remain after surgery. It is not yet known how much extra treatment needs to be given after surgery. Read Less

This phase II trial studies how well using circulating tumor deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) to guide lower dose radiation therapy works in treating patients with human papillomavirus infection (HPV)-associated oropharyngeal cancer. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays, particles, or radioactive seeds to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Recently, a blood test has been developed to detect the human papillomavirus in the blood and determine how many viral particles are present. Researchers want to compare any good and bad effects of using the lower dose radiation therapy with chemotherapy compared to the usual standard of care dose chemotherapy in patients who clear the human papillomavirus particles from their blood. This clinical trial evaluates the effect of tislelizumab in treating patients with mismatch repair deficient endometrial cancer that has come back (recurrent). Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) mismatch repair (MMR) is a system for recognizing and repairing DNA errors and damage. Mismatch repair deficient tumors (dMMR) may have difficulty repairing DNA mutations during replication that may affect tumor's response to therapy. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as tislelizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. This phase I trial studies the side effects of hyperthermic intraepithelial chemotherapy with cisplatin after surgery or cisplatin before surgery in treating patients with stage III or IV ovarian, fallopian tube or peritoneal cancer receiving chemotherapy before surgery. Hyperthermic intraepithelial chemotherapy involves the infusion of heated cytotoxic chemotherapy that circulates into the abdominal cavity at the time of surgery. Chemotherapy drugs, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Targeted radiation therapy such as intensity-modulated radiation therapy or pencil beam scanning uses high energy rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as pemetrexed, cisplatin, and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. This randomized phase III trial studies how well standard-dose combination chemotherapy works compared to high-dose combination chemotherapy and stem cell transplant in treating patients with germ cell tumors that have returned after a period of improvement or did not respond to treatment. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, ifosfamide, cisplatin, carboplatin, and etoposide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving chemotherapy before a stem cell transplant stops the growth of cancer cells by stopping them from dividing or killing them. Giving colony-stimulating factors, such as filgrastim or pegfilgrastim, and certain chemotherapy drugs, helps stem cells move from the bone marrow to the blood so they can be collected and stored. Chemotherapy is then given to prepare the bone marrow for the stem cell transplant. The stem cells are then returned to the patient to replace the blood-forming cells that were destroyed by the chemotherapy. It is not yet known whether high-dose combination chemotherapy and stem cell transplant are more effective than standard-dose combination chemotherapy in treating patients with refractory or relapsed germ cell tumors. This study is trying to learn and understand if the chemotherapy drug called carboplatin works as well as the standard therapy. The standard therapy for Low Grade Glioma (LGG) in children and young adults is using a combination of carboplatin and vincristine. Studies in children have shown that the use of carboplatin alone has promise of being just as effective for treating LGG as standard therapy. Additionally, this study will try to understand if treatment with carboplatin alone is associated with an improved quality of life for LGG patients and their families. Read Less
