This randomized phase III trial studies how well radiation therapy, paclitaxel, and carboplatin with or without trastuzumab work in treating patients with esophageal cancer. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Monoclonal antibodies, such as trastuzumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) and giving them in different ways may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known which combination chemotherapy regimen is more effective in treating patients with ovarian epithelial cancer, primary peritoneal cancer, and fallopian tube cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is comparing the side effects of three combination chemotherapy regimens and to see how well they work in treating patients with stage IIB, stage IIC, stage III, or stage IV ovarian epithelial cancer, primary peritoneal cancer, or fallopian tube cancer. RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known if four-drug combination chemotherapy is more effective than two-drug combination chemotherapy in treating advanced cancer of the urothelium. This partially randomized phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of sunitinib malate and to see how well it works when given together with cisplatin or carboplatin and etoposide in treating patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, carboplatin, and etoposide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Sunitinib malate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. This is a Phase III, global, double-blind, 2-arm randomized study designed to compare the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab + paclitaxel + carboplatin + bevacizumab versus placebo + paclitaxel + carboplatin + bevacizumab. Neoadjuvant therapy is given to breast cancer patients whose cancers are relatively large or have spread to lymph nodes or both. The primary goal of this treatment is to prevent the cancer from coming back (recurring) elsewhere in the body, but if it makes the cancer in the breast and lymph nodes shrink it might be easier to remove. This could allow a patient to have a lumpectomy instead of a mastectomy and reduce the number of lymph nodes that the surgeon has to remove. In some cases, the neoadjuvant therapy works so well that it kills all of the cancer in the breast and lymph nodes. This is referred to as a pathologic complete response (pCR). Patients who achieve a pCR have a much lower risk of the cancer recurring elsewhere in their bodies. Investigators aren't sure which chemotherapy drugs work best with the HER2-targeted drugs, and what combination of these drugs causes the fewest side effects.Thus, this study has two main goals: 1. To find out if treatment with wPCbTP, weekly paclitaxel and carboplatin given with trastuzumab and pertuzumab every 3 weeks, leads to as many pCRs as TCHP in patients with HER2-positive breast cancer, but has fewer side effects. 2. To find out if HER2-positive patients whose cancers are not responding well after 12 weeks of wPCbTP get a better response when they are switched to a doxorubicin-containing regimen called AC for 4 cycles (8-12 weeks).
