Cyclophosphamide Treatment Options in Dallas, TX

To determine the effect of weight on doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide plasma clearance in participants who are normal weight (body mass index \[BMI\] \< 25 kg/m2, overweight or class I obese (BMI 25-34.9 kg/m2), or class II-III obese (BMI ≥ 35 kg/m2). The hypothesis is that participants who weigh more will have higher doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide clearances than participants who weigh less. This study has 3 parts. The purpose of Part 1 of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of brentuximab vedotin in combination with RCHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone) (known as BV+RCHOP) in patients with DLBCL who have never been treated. Patients will be randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive RCHOP together with 1 of 2 doses of brentuximab vedotin. Patients will be tested to see if there is a difference in side effects between the 2 groups. The purpose of Part 2 of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of brentuximab vedotin in combination with RCHP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, and prednisone) (known as BV+RCHP) in patients with CD30-positive DLBCL who have never been treated. Patients will be enrolled to receive RCHP together with 1.8mg/kg of brentuximab vedotin. The purpose of Part 3 of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of BV+RCHP compared to standard RCHOP in patients with CD30-positive DLBCL that have never been treated. This randomized pilot clinical trial is studying the side effects and how well giving temozolomide and cixutumumab together with combination chemotherapy works in treating patients with metastatic rhabdomyosarcoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as temozolomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cixutumumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Giving temozolomide and cixutumumab together with combination chemotherapy may kill more tumor cells. Read Less

This phase II trial is studying how well combination chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and/or surgery work in treating patients with high-risk kidney tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) may kill more tumor cells. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Bevacizumab may also stop the growth of rhabdomyosarcoma by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Temsirolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
