Cyclophosphamide Treatment Options in Texas

This randomized phase III trial is studying tacrolimus, methotrexate, and sirolimus to see how well they work compared to tacrolimus and methotrexate in preventing graft-versus-host disease in young patients who are undergoing donor stem cell transplant for intermediate-risk or high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia in second complete remission and high risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia in first remission. Giving chemotherapy, such as thiotepa and cyclophosphamide, and total-body irradiation before a donor stem cell transplant helps stop the growth of cancer cells. It also helps stop the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells. The donated stem cells may replace the patient's immune cells and help destroy any remaining cancer cells (graft-versus-tumor effect). Sometimes the transplanted cells from a donor can also make an immune response against the body's normal cells. Giving tacrolimus, methotrexate, and sirolimus after the transplant may stop this from happening. This is a phase 1 trial designed to evaluate safety and tolerability of chemotherapy in combination with inotuzumab ozogamicin, an investigational product, in adults with CD22-positive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The trial will involve two arms. In one arm, subjects will receive chemotherapy regimen R-CVP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, vincristine and prednisone). In the other arm, subjects will receive R-GDP (rituximab, gemcitabine, cisplatinum and dexamethasone). Subjects in both arms will also receive inotuzumab ozogamicin. Read Less

The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if using a combination of fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, and mitoxantrone plus rituximab, with the growth factor pegylated filgrastim, will improve the response to treatment, and increase the time this response lasts, for patients with previously untreated CLL. This open-label, randomized, parallel group study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of obinutuzumab in combination with cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisolone or prednisone (CHOP) chemotherapy versus rituximab (MabThera/Rituxan) with CHOP in previously untreated participants with cluster of differentiation 20 (CD20)-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Participants will be randomized to receive either obinutuzumab 1000 milligrams (mg) intravenously (IV) every 21 days or rituximab 375 milligrams per square meter (mg/m\^2) IV every 21 days for 8 cycles, in addition to 6-8 cycles of CHOP chemotherapy IV every 21 days. This phase II trial studies the side effects of PD 0360324 and cyclophosphamide and to see how well they work in treating patients with high-grade epithelial ovarian, primary peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer that has come back after a period of improvement. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as PD 0360324, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Cyclophosphamide may stop the growth of disease by blocking the growth of new blood vessels necessary for tumor growth. Giving PD 0360324 and cyclophosphamide may work better in treating patients with high-grade epithelial ovarian, primary peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer. Read Less

The goal of Phase I of this clinical research study is to find the highest tolerable dose of RAD001 (everolimus) when given in combination with the standard chemotherapy regimens to patients with ALL. RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as vinblastine, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Celecoxib may stop the growth of Ewing's sarcoma by stopping blood flow to the tumor. Combining more than one chemotherapy drug with celecoxib may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining low-dose vinblastine and celecoxib with standard regimens of combination chemotherapy in treating patients who have newly-diagnosed metastatic Ewing's sarcoma family of tumors. This randomized phase III trial is studying giving fluorouracil together with epirubicin and cyclophosphamide followed by paclitaxel and trastuzumab to see how well it works compared with giving paclitaxel together with trastuzumab followed by fluorouracil, epirubicin, cyclophosphamide, and trastuzumab in treating women with palpable breast cancer that can be removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as trastuzumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them.
