Semaglutide Treatment Options in Florida

The study evaluates the safety of different doses of a new medicine called NNC0519 0130. It also looks into how the medicine may improve kidney function in participants with chronic kidney disease with or without type 2 diabetes, living with overweight or obesity. The participants will either get NNC0519-0130 (a new medicine), semaglutide (a medicine that doctors can already prescribe), or placebo (a "dummy" substance). The study is testing how well semaglutide can help adolescents with excess body weight to lose weight and to maintain weight loss. All participants in the study will receive semaglutide as a weekly injection. The study medicine is injected with a thin needle in the stomach, thighs or upper arms. This study will look at the effects of CagriSema in people with both type 2 diabetes and painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy, compared to placebo. Participants will either get an active medicine or a "dummy" medicine (placebo). Which treatment participants get is decided by chance. This study will look at how well CagriSema helps people living with obesity to lose weight and maintain the weight loss long-term. The study has 2 parts: The first part is called 'the main study' and the second part is called 'the extension study'. In the main study participants will either get CagriSema (a study medicine) or placebo (a dummy medicine that looks like CagriSema but has no active ingredient). Which treatment participants get is decided by chance. Participants are two times more likely to get CagriSema than placebo. If participants get CagriSema in the main study, participants will continue on CagriSema in the extension study. Which dose of CagriSema participants will continue on is decided by chance. If participants get placebo in the main study, participants will get CagriSema in the extension study. Participants will take one injection of study medicine once a week. This study is open to adults between 18 and 65 years of age who have obesity. People can join the study if they have a body mass index (BMI) between 30 and 45 km/m². The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called survodutide improves how the body uses energy and breaks down fat. This study compares survodutide with another medicine called semaglutide. Survodutide is being developed to treat people with obesity. Semaglutide is already used to treat people with obesity. Participants are put into 2 groups by chance. One group gets survodutide and the other group gets semaglutide. Participants get survodutide or semaglutide as an injection under the skin once a week. Participants are in the study for 8-10 months depending on how long the treatment is given. During this time, they visit the study site weekly. Some of the visits may also be done at the participant's home instead of the study site. At some of the visits, doctors test how much energy a participant's body uses. This is done in a special room where they measure the oxygen that is breathed in and the carbon dioxide that is breathed out by the participant. To assess whether holding incretin-based therapy before endoscopy reduces the likelihood of clinically relevant Residual Gastric Volume (RGV). Primary Outcomes: * Residual gastric volume that precludes adequate endoscopic examination * Residual gastric volume that necessitates premature termination of the endoscopy procedure * Need for endotracheal intubation due to stomach contents. * Occurrence of aspiration events requiring extended observation/monitoring, unplanned therapeutics, and/or hospital admission Secondary Outcomes: * Presence of any solid food * Presence of moderate liquid content * Increased RGV(Residual Gastric Volume) defined as any amount of solid content or \> 0.8 mL/Kg of fluid content (measured from the aspiration/suction canister). * Differences in primary and secondary outcomes between different medications Read Less
