The primary objective of this study is to determine the effects of semaglutide on kidney oxygenation and function in type 1 diabetes. The secondary objective is to determine the glycemic effects and safety of semaglutide in type 1 diabetes.

Type 1 Diabetes Impacts of Semaglutide on Cardiovascular Outcomes

This trial plans to learn more about the effects of a medication, semaglutide, on cardiovascular function, kidney function, and insulin sensitivity in adults with type 1 diabetes. This medication has been effective in reducing cardiovascular disease and diabetic kidney disease and improving glucose control and BMI in adults with type 2 diabetes. Effects of Semaglutide on Intracranial Blood Flow and Brain-Barrier Permeability in Type-2 Diabetes

A human subjects research study, the primary purpose of which is to assess the EFFECTS OF SEMAGLUTIDE ON INTRACRANIAL BLOOD FLOW AND BLOOD-BRAIN BARRIER PERMEABILITY IN TYPE-2 DIABETES (T2D) through testing of the intervention on patients in a clinical setting.
