Vaccines Treatment Options in Ohio

This study is a Phase 3, randomized, modified double-blind study which aims to measure whether PCV21 vaccine (investigational pneumococcal conjugate vaccine) is safe and can help the body to develop germ-fighting agents called "antibodies" (immunogenicity) compared with 20-valent pneumococcal vaccine (Prevnar 20, licensed pneumococcal conjugate vaccine) when they are administered with routine pediatric vaccines in infants aged from approximately 2 months (42 to 89 days). The study duration per participant will be up to approximately 19 months. The study vaccines (either PCV21 or 20-valent pneumococcal vaccines) will be administered at approximately 2, 4, 6 and 12 to 15 months of age. Routine pediatric vaccines will be given at the same timepoints. There will be 6 study visits: -Visit (V)01, V02 separated from V01 by 60 days, V03 separated from V02 by 60 days, V04 separated from V03 by 30 days, V05 at 12 months of age until 15 months of age, V06 separated from V05 by 30 days. This phase II trial studies how well nab-paclitaxel, durvalumab, and tremelimumab with or without personalized synthetic long peptide vaccine (neoantigen vaccine) works in treating patients with triple negative breast cancer that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). Chemotherapy drugs, such as nab-paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as durvalumab and tremelimumab, may induce changes in body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Vaccines made from peptides may help the body build an effective immune response to kill tumor cells. It is not yet known whether giving nab-paclitaxel, durvalumab, and tremelimumab with or without neoantigen vaccine will work better in treating patients with triple negative breast cancer. Read Less

This phase II trial studies the effect of lenalidomide and vaccine in treating patients with early-stage asymptomatic chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma. Lenalidomide may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking blood flow to the cancer. It may also stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop cancer cells from growing. Vaccines may help the body build an effective immune response to kill cancer cells. Giving lenalidomide together with vaccine therapy may make a stronger immune response and kill more cancer cells. The purpose of this study is to learn about the safety and tolerability of a pneumococcal vaccine in adults. Participants will receive either: * an experimental PG4 vaccine * a PG4 vaccine comparator * a standard 20vPnC vaccine comparator * placebo. A placebo does not have any medicine in it but looks just like the study medicine. Participants will take part in this study for up to 18 months depending on which group they are assigned to. During this time, the participants will receive up to two doses of study vaccine or comparator and take part in follow-up visits. This is a randomized, multi-site, adaptive, open-label clinical trial comparing the immune response to different additional doses of COVID-19 vaccine in participants with autoimmune disease requiring IS medications. All study participants will have negative serologic or suboptimal responses (defined as a Roche Elecsys® Anti-SARS-CoV-2 S result ≤200 U/mL) or a low immune response (defined as a Roche Elecsys® Anti-SARS-CoV-2 S result \>200 U/ml and ≤2500 U/mL) to their previous doses of COVID-19 vaccine. This phase I trial investigates the effects of influenza vaccine in treating patients with stage I-IV melanoma. While intramuscular administration of influenza vaccine provides immunization against the influenza virus, giving influenza vaccine directly into the tumor (intralesional) may decrease the size of the injected melanoma tumor, or the extent of the melanoma within the body. This is a global Phase 3 study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational study drug (called PF-06651600) in adults and adolescents (12 years and older) who have alopecia areata. Eligible patients from the prior studies B7931005 (NCT02974868) and B7981015 (NCT03732807) will have an opportunity to enroll as well as patients who have not previously participated in either of these studies. The study is open-label and all patients entering the study will receive active study drug. A sub-study of approximately 60 adult patients who are participating in the B7981032 study will be conducted at select sites in the US, Australia and Canada. Background: Allergic reactions have been reported to occur after vaccination with both the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine and Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine. Allergic reactions range from mild to severe and include life- threatening anaphylactic reactions, although no deaths have been reported with either vaccine. This study is designed with two principal aims: * To estimate the proportions of systemic allergic reactions to the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine and the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine in a High-Allergy/Mast Cell Disorder (HA/MCD) population, and * If the risk in the HA/MCD is demonstrable, to determine whether the proportions are higher in the HA/MCD in comparison to a representative population without severe allergies or mast cell disorders Read Less
