Arthritis Paid Clinical Trials in Utah

The primary goal of this clinical trial is to learn if PIPE-791 is safe and well-tolerated in adults with chronic osteoarthritis pain (COAP) or chronic low back pain (CLBP). The study will also explore whether PIPE-791 lowers pain in people with COAP or CLBP. Subjects will: * Complete a washout period to stop their current pain medications. * Take a daily dose of PIPE-791 or placebo for 4 weeks, then reverse treatment assignment for another 4 weeks. * Record pain levels and track dosing in a daily e-diary. * Visit the clinic for checkups and lab tests throughout the study. * Complete phone assessments during the treatment periods. In the US, pain management after surgery for surgical treatment of osteoarthritis at the base of the thumb typically consists of prescription opioids during the early recovery phase. Given the highly addictive nature of prescription opioids, guidelines are being evaluated by hand surgeons to reduce opioid use while still maintaining pain control after surgery. A promising approach is to use non-narcotic medication as the first line of treatment. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy of a combination of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), ibuprofen and acetaminophen, in comparison to a morphine analogue substance (oxycodone) for pain management in the first 30 days after surgery. This randomized pragmatic trial will generate knowledge about strategies used to de-escalate tumor necrosis factor inhibitor (TNFi) therapy in patients with juvenile spondyloarthritis with sustained inactive disease and are treated at one of the 29 participating pediatric healthcare systems. Potential participants will be screened at clinic. Patients who meet eligibility criteria will be considered for study. After written informed consent is obtained, participants will complete baseline testing and participants who meet eligibility criteria will be randomized 1:1 to 2 treatment arms: Vivo Arm: Vivo twice a week for 6 months and Usual Care Arm: meet with ATC and given Medbridge home exercise program for 6 months. All participants will be followed for 12 months, and will be assessed at 3-,6-, and 12-months. All participants will complete functional assessments, OA patient reported outcomes measures, quality of life, exercise self-efficacy, and fall risk questionnaires, and health care utilization report at each testing visit.
