This hybrid effectiveness-implementation project will allow the team to evaluate and refine implementation in preparation for future multisite trials to ultimately move the Evidence-Based Intervention (EBI) to scale among diverse populations. The plan is to enroll 120 at-risk pregnant and postpartum women from rural, urban, and Latino populations. Using a randomized preference design to also evaluate patient and sociocultural factors in participation and symptom trajectory. Using the Implementation Research Logic Model, the team will evaluate the implementation feasibility and acceptability of a remote-access and on-demand MBCT PD prevention intervention that is integrated within maternal clinical care settings using an existing patient portal. Affecting nearly 800,000 people in the US every year, stroke is a leading cause of long-term disability, and has serious consequences for stroke survivors and their carepartners. Our project uses a scientifically rigorous efficacy study to evaluate a remotely delivered 8-week dyadic (couples-based) positive psychology intervention to reduce emotional distress in stroke survivors and their carepartners. If successful, couples may be better emotionally equipped to cope with the sequelae of stroke, and have better rehabilitation outcomes and quality of life. Read Less

The goal of this clinical trial is to determine the impact of omega-3 fatty acids on the production of anti-inflammatory effects and clinical improvement in people with depression who have not responded well to standard antidepressant treatment. The main questions it seeks to answer are: 1. Do omega-3 fatty acids added to ineffective antidepressant treatment increase production of compounds that reduce inflammation? 2. Is the increase in these anti-inflammatory compounds associated with a stronger antidepressant effect? Participants taking antidepressants that have not worked completely will be assigned at random for a 12-week period to one of the following: 1. an omega-3 preparation 2. an inactive placebo During the course of the study, blood tests will be obtained for compounds associated with inflammation, and questionnaires to measure clinical improvement in depressive symptoms will be administered. The aim of this study is to measure the impact of these H.O.O.V.E.S. healing intensives on Veteran participants using several psychological instruments. The investigators are planning to administer the demographic questionnaires and psychological instruments to Veteran participants before the healing intensives. Psychological instruments will be administered immediately pre-intervention, pre- and post-session for each session, post-intervention, 90, 120 and 360 days post-intervention. The goal of this single-arm, observational pilot study is to learn about the safety, feasibility, preliminary efficacy of TMS for the treatment of depression in people with MS. Participants will receive outpatient TMS treatment over the course of 5-6 weeks. Participants will complete validated questionnaires and exams before, during, and after treatment. Read Less

The goal of this open-label clinical trial is to assess the feasibility of Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) studies for adults with non-operable GI cancers suffering with existential distress. The main questions it aims to answer are: Is it feasible to conduct a KAP study with this population? What is the safety and tolerability of KAP in this population? How prevalent is existential distress in this population? Participants will undergo KAP administered as standard of care at the HMHI Park City Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Clinic and will complete health assessments over the course of the study, as well as during the therapy.
