COVID19 Paid Clinical Trials in West Virginia

Treatments are needed to improve outcomes among patients hospitalized for COVID-19, including direct-acting antiviral (DAA) agents to mitigate the pathology driven by ongoing viral replication. This trial will evaluate S-217622 (ensitrelvir), an anti-SARS-CoV2 3C-like protease inhibitor (PI) developed by Shionogi \&; Co. Ltd. The study design is a randomized, placebo-controlled, multi-center international clinical trial that will evaluate the clinical efficacy of ensitrelvir when given in addition to standard of care (SOC) for inpatients with COVID-19. The SOC will be determined by local established guidelines and may include additional DAA (e.g., remdesivir) and immunomodulatory treatment strategies. This is a platform protocol designed to be flexible so that it is suitable for a range of interventions and settings within diverse health care systems and community settings with incorporation into clinical COVID-19 management programs and treatment plans if results achieve key study outcomes. This protocol is a prospective, multi-center, multi-arm, randomized, controlled platform trial evaluating interventions to address and improve exercise intolerance and post-exertional malaise (PEM) as manifestations of Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 Infection (PASC). The hypothesis is that symptoms of sleep and circadian disorders that emerge in patients with PASC can be improved by phenotype-targeted interventions. Long COVID is a condition where debilitating symptoms can persist for months after a COVID-19 infection. This study aims to evaluate the effects of NE3107 on several neurological symptoms reported in people with Long COVID including difficulty concentrating or remembering things ("brain fog") and fatigue. Researchers will compare NE3107 to a placebo (a look-alike substance that contains no drug) to see if NE3107 works to treat neurocognitive and fatigue symptoms of long COVID. The study investigators are interested in learning more about how drugs, that are given to children by their health care provider, act in the bodies of children and young adults in hopes to find the most safe and effective dose for children. The goal of this project is to rapidly screen promising agents, in the setting of an adaptive platform trial, for treatment of critically ill COVID-19 patients. This is a prospective study, involving contacting potential plasma donors and the use of their plasma to help fight off infections of those suffering from COVID19 in accordance to collection guidelines for plasma and FDA IND requirement. This study will include up to 240 participants potentially receiving convalescent plasma and up to 1000 potential donors. There are 3 basic arms to the study: mild, moderate and severe/critical severity. All 3 severity groups are eligible for enrollment, but mild severity will not be given plasma unless there is progression. Moderate severity will given up to 1 unit of plasma and severe/critical severity up to 2 units. There is no placebo group, however given the excepted issues of shortages of plasma, intention to treat will be used for analysis. Read Less
