This phase 2 study aims to confirm the efficacy seen in the prior phase 1 trial, and further contribute to this effort through the collection of leukemia cells pre- and post- in vivo IFN-γ therapy. As in the previously conducted phase 1 trial, this trial will test whether leukemia blasts were responsive to IFN-γ in vitro and in vivo, with single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq) conducted to understand the transcriptomic changes induced by IFN-γ in leukemia cell subsets, including those with stem cell characteristics. This clinical trial evaluates whether the Transportation for Cancer Care Navigation Tool (TRACT) can reduce travel barriers among patients with solid tumors receiving radiation therapy. It is estimated that 20-30% patients with cancer experience travel-related barriers for cancer care. This is a particular problem for patients with radiation therapy as these patients frequently receive multiple treatment cycles, which often require daily treatment for multiple weeks or months. Addressing travel barriers has been a prerequisite for cancer care as travel barriers negatively influence cancer treatment adherence and cancer care outcomes, such as survival and quality of life. The research question we pose is, Does a colorectal cancer (CRC) screening decision support tool offered in advance of primary care visits increase CRC screening completion rates? Our work aims to answer this question by evaluating the effectiveness of an MGB decision support tool to 1) promote informed decisions about CRC screening for average risk patients ages 45-75, 2) deploy a decision support tool as part of a primary care bundle questionnaire, and 3) support patients in completing their preferred method of CRC screening. This phase II trial tests the safety and effectiveness of the combination of grid radiation therapy and standard of care (SOC) immunotherapy in treating patients with stage IV non-small lung cancer (NSCLC). Conventional radiation therapy treatments typically deliver the same radiation dose to the entire tumor. Spatially fractionated radiation therapy or grid therapy is approved and a technique which permits the delivery of high doses of radiation to small regions of the tumor which can lead to enhanced tumor cell killing. Grid therapy has been shown to produce dramatic relief of severe symptoms, significant tumor regression (decrease in the size of a tumor), and above average local control rates often exceeding those expected with conventionally delivered radiation treatments, all with minimal associated toxicity. Immunotherapy has become combined into treating patients, which has led improvements in survival and quality of life. Immunotherapy is now the cornerstone of SOC therapy for stage IV NSCLC. Transmasculine youth (female sex assigned at birth, male gender identity) who begin clinical gender affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) with testosterone (T) may experience changes in headache. Researchers think this because studies published on effects of giving testosterone to cisgender females (female sex, female gender identity) and transmasculine adults seem to show an effect on pain. This research will help us learn more about changes in headache and in brain structure and function in transmasculine youth during the first two years of T. Youth who will be starting T within 6 months, either on puberty blocker or not, as part of their regular medical care can participate and will be asked to attend 4 visits: * before starting T * after 6 months on T * after 1 year on T * after 2 years on T At the visits, they will be asked to: * answer questions and surveys about their health * have a brain MRI done * give a small sample of blood and at their first visit, complete a physical exam. Some participants can also do a brief test of pain sensitivity. All participants will be asked to complete a headache diary for the first 6 months, for 1 month after the 1 year visit, and for 1 month after the 2 year visit. Read Less

This 12-week trial will test the efficacy of a personalized, multi-component, personalized text-message delivered behavior change technique (BCT) intervention to encourage habitual hourly physical activity among care providers of persons with Alzheimer's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease Related Dementias (AD/ADRD) via the key mechanism of behavior change (MoBC) of automaticity. The main question it aims to answer is whether a multi-component, personalized BCT intervention to increase habitual walking of \>250 steps/hour will lead to successful development of habitual hourly walking among 50% of caregivers. Listener training offers a promising avenue for improving communication for people with dysarthria due to Parkinson's disease by offsetting the intelligibility burden from the patient onto their primary communication partners. Here, we employ a repeated-measures, randomized controlled trial to establish the efficacy of listener training for patients with PD and their primary communication partners. This translational work will establish a new realm of clinical practice in which the intelligibility impairments in PD are addressed by training partners to better understand dysarthric speech, thus elevating communication outcomes and participation in daily life. A randomized controlled trial with parent-child pairs of children with persistent or uncontrolled asthma. An intervention group (n=40 parent-child pairs) will receive the mobile health (mHealth) app and digital sensors with enhanced support from a population health manager role, hereinafter referred to as an asthma coordinator, to provide remote patient monitoring (RPM). A comparison group (n=40 parent-child pairs) will receive the mHealth app and sensors without RPM support to silently collect inhaler use information without mHealth app features. The study will adapt and deploy a digital Behavioral Activation app with mobile sensing, supported by health coaches, that encourages youth to engage in positive activities. The study has the potential to offer a low-cost and scalable behavioral intervention that may decrease risk of suicide among at-risk youth. This research will examine specifically whether an intervention involving an app called Vira, combined with health coaching (GET ActivE) can improve enjoyment for teens coping with depression. Research participants will be randomly assigned to one of two study intervention. One study intervention involves a) downloading an app called Vira and engaging by responding to a daily question, and b) participating in a conversation via text, phone, or messages through an appt with a health coach. The health coach will use the Vira app and principles from evidence-based therapy and behavior change to provide users with insights to sustain well-being and better manage risk factors for suicidal thoughts and behaviors such as depressed mood and behavioral withdrawal.
