The investigators propose to examine mornings after drinking as an optimal time to provide repeated, personalized feedback, with the goal of reducing hazardous drinking. Specifically, the investigators will further develop and pilot test a novel theory-based personalized feedback intervention (PFI) for heavy drinking young adults. Intervention strategies include personalized feedback (e.g., feedback on prior night blood alcohol concentration, consequences) contrasted with both drinking goals set at baseline and corrective normative feedback (e.g., how last night's drinking compares to peers). Up to 170 participants (50% non-college) will be randomized to one of three groups: PFI with monetary incentives for daily surveys, PFI without monetary incentives, or survey assessment only. The investigators will examine recruitment rates, retention rates, confirmation of intervention content delivery/intake, response rates to daily surveys, data quality, and ratings of intervention value. Investigators will test whether these indicators of engagement differ between those who do and do not receive monetary incentives for daily surveys. Further, baseline, post-test, and 3-month follow-up assessments will allow us to examine differences in drinking behavior between PFI and control. The results of the proposed research will result in a novel and scalable intervention for alcohol misuse among young adults, with potential to have an important impact on the public health problem of high-risk drinking. The goal of this proof-of-concept clinical trial is to determine whether cardiac rehabilitation improves exercise capacity and chronotropic (heart rate) response to exercise among people with Long COVID. The study will include individuals with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection, symptoms not present prior to COVID-19 that are persistent for at least 3 months after acute infection ("Long COVID"), and who have reduced exercise capacity less than predicted and reduced heart rate response during cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET). In addition to the primary outcome of change in peak VO2, secondary outcomes will include change in symptoms including autonomic symptoms (COMPASS-31), anxiety (GAD-7), depression (PHQ-9), endothelial function with brachial artery flow-mediated dilation, and satisfaction (net-promotor score). The objective of this research is to assess the effects of engaging in coloring activities on patients' self-reported pain and anxiety scores while they wait to be seen by a physician in an emergency department (ED). The current literature on patient visits in the ED highlights the significance of anxiety, stress, and frustration in patient experiences, especially when accounting for long wait times before the physician-patient encounter. The study will address this common problem by looking at the potential impact of nature-themed or geometric shape coloring activities on the ED patient experience as it relates to self-reported anxiety and pain scores. Given that long wait times are increasingly being reported across the country, this study may offer a possible meaningful low-budget, low-resource intervention which could be offered to patients. This study aims to obtain data on the potential influence of Vine to Bar product(s) containing Chardonnay marc on cardiometabolic health. These initial studies will inform the design and timing of data collection for future dietary intervention trials that will examine the influence of Chardonnay marc intake on outcomes/biomarkers of both cardiometabolic health and the gut microbiome. This includes collecting data on the potential differences in response to the products based on the unique food matrix for each of the products that will be tested. Moreover, as there is a paucity of data on the influence of cocoa flavanol intake on vascular function beyond 4 hours post intake, the response of the selected outcomes will be assessed after 6 hours of flavanol intake. This is a time point that captures the increased circulating presence of microbial derived flavanol metabolites. Read Less

This phase III trial compares the effect of 3 study approaches in preventing chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy: 1) cryocompression, 2) continuous compression, and 3) low cyclic compression. Taxane chemotherapy drugs, such as paclitaxel or docetaxel, can cause a nerve disorder called peripheral neuropathy, which can cause numbness, tingling, or pain in the arms and legs. The 3 study approaches will use a device, called the Paxman Limb Cryocompression System, made of wraps that cool and/or compress the arms and legs. This study may help researchers determine if any of the study approaches are able to prevent taxane chemotherapy from causing peripheral neuropathy. Read Less

When patients have surgery on the head and face, stitches are the standard way to close the wound. Wounds always result in a scar, but doctors are always looking for ways to reduce scarring. Several studies have been done to test ways to close wounds that reduce scarring. One idea is to reduce the tension around the cut. One way to reduce tension is to stitch a small piece of a special gauze over the top of the regular stitches. This procedure is called a "tie-over bolster dressing." As the name implies, this extra dressing "bolsters" the wound closure so that the skin on each side of the cut stays in place. The bolster dressing procedure has been used in the past in special cases, such as when skin grafts are necessary. The bolster dressing helps the skin graft heal by making sure the graft stays exactly in place. Keeping the wound stable with a bolster dressing also reduces bleeding under the wound. For non-grafted wounds, the bolster dressing procedure has not normally been used, and has not been well-studied. In this study the whole wound will be stitched normally and then the bolster dressing will be applied over half of the wound. This will allow us to see if the side with the bolster dressing heals with less scarring. Read Less
