The goal of this study is to determine short-term adaptations (aftereffects) in knee loading after a 20-minute split-belt treadmill training session in patients with ACL reconstruction. The proposed research is to develop and refine a multicomponent breathwork intervention, Guided Respiration Mindfulness Therapy, and to iteratively evaluate its feasibility, acceptability, and plausibility for clinically significant effects in people with chronic low back pain. This integrative breathwork intervention involves a 60-minute breathing session where the focus is to maintain a conscious connected breathing pattern (no pause between inhale and exhale), apply mindful acceptance to somatic sensations, and relax any physical tension. The objective for this study is to compare outcome measures from vestibular rehabilitation (VPT) delivered in a traditional method against a new device Incremental Velocity Error (IVE) that improves physiologic performance of the vestibulo-ocular reflex. Participants include active duty service members with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and civilians with peripheral vestibular hypofunction. The investigators will use a clinical trial cross-over design with randomization to either the control (VPT) or experimental (IVE) group and measure vestibulo-ocular reflex function as well as subjective and functional outcomes in order to investigate the best means to improve delivery of vestibular rehabilitation. Acne is a chronic condition that typically requires the use of multiple medications.1 Medication adherence is especially challenging for patients with chronic diseases and often decreases over time, especially for those using topical medications.1 Nonadherence can result in multiple negative effects including treatment failure, increased healthcare costs, and decreased quality of life. Primary nonadherence refers to problems acquiring and starting treatment. Challenges to this form of nonadherence include a lack of knowledge, misunderstanding of usage, poor communication with provider, increased cost, and fear of side effects.2 Secondary nonadherence refers to when the patient does not use the medication as prescribed.
