The goals of the program are to help struggling fathers and father figures improve the parent-child relationship, sustain healthy marriages and relationships (and help those who are single identify ways to enter into safe and supportive relationships that may ultimately lead to marriage), and identify and support fathers in their economic stability and employment objectives. These outcomes will be achieved through a series of workshops addressing responsible parenting and marriage and relationships as well as a complement of employment services and comprehensive case management. Additional services needed by participants will be identified and provided either through wraparound programming provided by JFCS or through collaborative agreements with local partner agencies. The device being studied, the Transcutaneous Electrical Accustimulator (TEA), will deliver weak electrical current at two specific points, one at the leg and the other at the arm at settings known to improve symptoms involving the digestive system. The study team would like to test if the device will impact the gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms and gastric motility in study participants with gastroparesis. Read Less

This study is a randomized, single-site clinical trial that will take place at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. The investigators want to see if in pediatric patients, giving Zofran prior to propofol, reduces the pain that patients often experience when propofol is injected through an IV. Subjects will be randomized to 1 of 2 groups: lidocaine (common standard of care), or Zofran. The investigators hope to show a means of improving pain control in their patients undergoing anesthesia. This single-center, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will recruit in total 39 participants with either Mild Cognitive Impairment due to Alzheimer's disease (MCI) or Mild Alzheimer's disease dementia (mild AD). There will be 3 Dose levels. An initial cohort of 13 subjects will be randomized to a Dose level 1 (0.1 mg/kg vs. placebo) lasting 8 weeks. An additional 13 subjects will be recruited and randomized into Dose level 2 (0.25 mg/kg vs. placebo) for 8 weeks and 13 subjects for the last Dose level 3 (0.5 mg/kg vs. placebo) for 8 weeks. This single arm trial will investigate a novel way to plan and deliver SABR for prostate cancer. Prostate-directed SABR will be high-dose SABR (40 Gy in 5 fractions) with central sparing of the urethra and peripheral sparing of the rectum and pudendal arteries (SUPR-SABR). This study tests the hypothesis that genitourinary (GU) and gastrointestinal (GI) toxicity rates following SUPR-SABR are comparable to (or possibly lower than) historical GU and GI toxicity rates following standard SABR (stSABR) with 36.25 Gy in the treatment of low- and intermediate-risk prostate cancer. This is a single-center, open-label, dose-escalating Phase 0 trial that will enroll participants with a confirmed diagnosed recurrent high-grade glioma (grade 3 or 4 per WHO criteria) targeting the mTOR pathway. Eligible participants will be administered a single infusion of temsirolimus through super-selective intra-arterial infusion or intravenous infusion. This study will adapt Safe Alternatives For Teens and Youth - Acute (SAFETY-A) for implementation in low-resourced school districts to reduce racial/ethnic disparities in mental health service use (MHS) following identification of suicide risk in youth. SAFETY-A will be adapted to fit the organizational context of school districts and to reduce mistrust of MHS, internalized stigma, and concealment of youth emotional distress that arise in school suicide risk assessments with Asian American and Latinx students. Following a prototyping case series, a feasibility trial will assign four districts to the timing of SAFETY-A implementation to generate preliminary data on feasibility and impacts on proposed mechanisms and youth MHS utilization and clinical outcomes across racial/ethnic groups.
