Clinical Outcomes Related to Treatment of Distal Symmetric Polyneuropathy Using Semiconductor Embedded Therapeutic Socks
Recruiting
Distal symmetric polyneuropathy, also known as diabetic neuropathy, is the most common neurological complication of diabetes and a main cause of morbidity. The condition leads to gradual loss of function of the longest nerve fibers that limits function and decreases quality of life. Symptoms present distally and symmetrically in toes and feet. Symptoms of the neurologic disability include sensory loss, risk of foot ulcers and limb amputations and pain. The condition is not generally considered r... Read More

Tagraxofusp and Azacitidine for Maintenance Treatment in Patients With CD123 Positive AML and MDS Following Donor Hematopoietic Cell Transplant
Recruiting
This phase Ib trial tests the safety, side effects, best dose and effectiveness of tagraxofusp in combination with azacitidine as maintenance therapy in treating patients with CD123 positive acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) after a donor (allogeneic) hematopoietic cell transplant. An allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) is a type of transplant where the cancer patient receives cells from another person. Maintenance therapy is given after the transplant to... TIDE Project: Biomarker Discovery for Chronic Tinnitus Diagnosis
Recruiting
Research in clinical neuroscience is founded on the conviction that a better understanding of tinnitus related changes of brain function will improve our ability to diagnose and treat tinnitus. Although considerable advances have been made in understanding the mechanisms of tinnitus, the clinical management of tinnitus remains largely based on a 'trial and error' approach. The identification and validation of a biomarker for tinnitus is thought to be the crucial step in the development of a pers... Read More

Telehealth Intervention for Ostomy Self-Management
Recruiting
Over one million individuals in the U.S. have ostomies. An ostomy is a surgical procedure that creates an opening in the abdominal wall that allows bodily waste (urinary or fecal) to pass through into an external pouch; in essence, it is the externalization of the gastrointestinal or urinary structures to the abdominal wall. For cancer, ostomies are most commonly placed for rectal cancers, followed by urinary bladder cancer. The health-related quality of life impact of an ostomy is tremendous an... Read More

A Study of Hemodynamic Cardiopulmonary Exercise for CHD
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to compare the difference in the ability to detect hemodynamic abnormalities between invasive hemodynamic assessments performed at rest versus exercise, to assess the correlation between invasive and noninvasive (Doppler-derived) rest-exercise hemodynamic indices and to compare the association between indices of disease severity and hemodynamic abnormalities identified at rest versus exercise.

Physiologic Response to Bariatric Surgery and the Impact of Adjunct Semaglutide in Adolescents
Recruiting
The study plans to learn more about what happens to the body after bariatric surgery in people 12 to 24 years old. The study aims to understand why people respond differently to bariatric surgery and how to define success beyond weight loss alone. The study also plans to learn more about whether a medication (semaglutide) can help people 12 to 24 years old who, between 1 and 2 years after bariatric surgery, have not lost as much weight as expected.
