The goal of this 26 week randomized controlled clinical trial is to learn if using a real time continuous glucose monitor (CGM) in a healthy lifestyle program for adults with prediabetes at the YMCA can improve glucose levels, dietary habits and physical activity The main questions it aims to answer is * Does use of a CGM improve the percent of time spent with glucose values between 70-140 mg/dl * Does use of a CGM improve nutritional habits as measured by Picture Your Plate (PYP) score * Does use of a CGM improve physical activity as measured by International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) score Researchers will compare individuals using real time CGM to those not using CGM Participants will be asked to: * attend weekly health coach sessions for 12 weeks followed by 3 monthly sessions. * attend a YMCA class of their choice * fill out questionnaires at baseline, 12 and 24 weeks * have an A1c blood test at baseline, 12 and 24 weeks. * wear a CGM. All participants will wear a blinded CGM at baseline. The intervention group will wear a real time CGM for 24 weeks. Celiac disease (CD) is a complex disease caused by eating gluten, a protein contained in wheat, rye, and barley. It is well known that many factors contribute to the development of CD, including the genes that you have and the foods that you eat. In the CDGEMM study, we will consider as many of these factors as possible and study how they each contribute to disease development. If the investigators find that any one factor, or combination of factors, increases the risk of developing CD, we will be able to apply this information and help prevent or detect disease in high-risk children in the future. Voided urinary cytology (VUC) is the most widely used urine-based assay for detecting bladder cancer (BCa); however, it fails to detect approximately 50% of low-grade or early stage BCa when it is most curable. Furthermore, the detection rate of VUC for recurrent BCa is not much better. Because of this severe limitation, all patients who are under surveillance to monitor for recurrent BCa must undergo an invasive examination of the urinary bladder, where a miniature camera is inserted into the bladder and the bladder inspected (cystoscopy). We propose to improve the non-invasive detection of recurrent BCa by further validating a multiplex ELISA assay directed at a BCa-associated diagnostic signature in voided urine samples. Read Less

Newly diagnosed post-menopausal women with clinical stage II-III, HR+HER2- breast cancer are eligible to a randomized trial, concurrently open at five US academic institutions. Once written consent is obtained, the participant will be provided with an accelerometer to be worn for 7 days to assess current physical activity levels. Subjects will be provided with a standardized diet (55/15/30% CHO/PRO/FAT) prior to collection of pre-intervention data of insulin sensitivity. Individuals will then participate in an 8-week electrical stimulation intervention (30min/day, 3x/week) and randomized into placebo/control, NMES, resistance training combined with NMES (RT +NMES), or resistance training (RT) group (n=15 per group), followed by collection of post-intervention data. The control group will receive electrical stimulation up to sensory level, the NMES group will receive stimulation up to tolerable intensity to induce visible muscle contraction, the RT+ NMES will receive stimulation up to tolerable intensity during resistance training, and the RT group will only receive exercise training.
