Prevalence and Prediction of ATTR in Ambulatory Patients With HFpEF
Recruiting
Recent studies have shown that transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTR) can sometimes cause a type of heart failure where the pumping function of the heart is normal, also known as Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) or diastolic heart failure. In this single center diagnostic study, we will evaluate for ATTR in patients with HFpEF in order to to determine how frequently this occurs and how we can predict which heart failure patients may have TTR amyloidosis. Our goal is to identify a... Read More

A Study of Single Fraction Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) Guided by Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in People With Liver Metastasis From Colorectal Cancer
Recruiting
The researchers are doing this study to see if one session of high-dose contrast-enhanced MRI-guided SBRT (stereotactic body radiation therapy) is effective for colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver. The researchers will evaluate how well the study treatment can prevent the liver metastasis from growing and spreading. In addition, they will see whether it causes any side effects and whether there are any characteristics of the research MRI images that can predict response to treatment.

Effect of Dupilumab on the Muscle Function of the Esophagus (food Pipe) in Participants with Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE)
Recruiting
The goal of this study is to research Dupilumab, an FDA approved medication in treating patients diagnosed with Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). The drug works by controlling allergic inflammation of the esophagus. The esophagus is a food pipe that transfers food from the mouth into the stomach. Participants with EoE have dysfunction of the muscle of the esophagus (impaired peristalsis) that is not favorable for the transport function.
Main question this study aims to answer is: Whether Dupiluma... Read More

Genetic and Functional Analysis of Craniometaphyseal Dysplasia (CMD)
Recruiting
CMD can be inherited in an autosomal dominant or recessive trait. CMD may also be caused by de novo mutations. The goal of this study is to identify genes and regulatory elements on chromosomes that are the cause for CMD. The investigators also study blood samples and tissue samples from patients to learn about the processes that lead to this disorder. The investigators long-term goal is to find mechanisms to slow down bone deposition in CMD patients.

Facial Affect Sensitivity Training for Young Children With Callous-unemotional Traits
Recruiting
The goal of this study is to test a novel intervention for children ages 6-11 with elevated callous-unemotional (CU) traits. Conduct problems are among the most prevalent and costly mental health conditions of childhood, and a common antecedent to adult psychiatric disorders. An established risk factor for early, persistent, and severe youth misconduct is the presence of CU traits. CU traits (e.g., lack of empathy or guilt, shallow affect) are analogous to the core affective features of adult ps... Read More

Substance Use Prevention for Youth With Parents in Recovery
Recruiting
Risk for substance use disorder (SUD) begins early in the life course. Although preventing and decreasing illicit and nonmedical drug use among youth is an urgent public health priority, there are currently few evidence-based prevention strategies feasible for delivery in the primary care setting. The investigators propose a three-year plan to collect critical pilot data to pilot test and optimize a dyadic intervention that aims to increase family resilience, strengthen coping skills, help famil... A Preliminary Study for INFORMED
Recruiting
Investigators will determine whether N-of-1 trials, as a pragmatic, participant-centered approach to medication optimization that can overcome key barriers of deprescribing, can lead to increased participant confidence regarding their preference to continue or discontinue beta-blockers in older adults with Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF).

Impact of Highly Effective Modulator Therapy on the Cystic Fibrosis Microbiome
Recruiting
The goal of this observational study is to learn about the effects of a specific cystic fibrosis therapy (Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator Modulator Therapy) on chronic sinonasal disease. The main questions it aims to answer are:
1. How does this therapy impact bacterial communities in the paranasal sinuses?
2. How does this therapy impact inflammation in the paranasal sinuses and olfactory cleft?
3. How does this therapy impact sense of smell and sinonasal disease burden in... Read More

The researchers are doing this study to find out if a PFME program to reduce urinary incontinence after radical prostatectomy is feasible for people with prostate cancer. The researchers will track how many participants join the study, follow the program, and stay in the study. They will also evaluate how people feel about their experience and satisfaction with participating in this program through interviews.
