Characterization of Biliary Cell-derived Organoids from Bile of PSC and Non-PSC Patients
Recruiting
The purpose of this research is to create a collection of bile, bile duct brushings and medical information from people with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) and controls to learn more about changes that occur in the liver.

Effect of Blenderized Enteral Tube Feeds on Pediatric Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Physiology
Recruiting
Blenderized diets consist of a wide range of table foods such as fruits, vegetables, meat and legumes, pureed in a blender and administered via gastrostomy tube. In a recent study, the investigators reported that children receiving blenderized feeds via gastrostomy had fewer total admissions and respiratory admissions, total emergency room visits, and improved gastrointestinal symptom scores compared to those fed formula. The goal of this project is to understand how these diets affect gastroeso... Read More

Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Field Stimulation (PENFS) in Patients With Post Concussion Syndrome (PCS)
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to test the effect of Auricular Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Field Stimulation (a Neurostim device) on children with pain and Post Concussion symptoms. An additional purpose of this study is to demonstrate that PENFS improves functioning in children with post Covid-19 symptoms.

Microbiome and Association With Implant Infections
Recruiting
The most common tissue expander-related infections are from Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas species. In addition, from breast tissue microbiome studies, Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas show variable abundance across samples. The investigator hypothesizes that participants undergoing mastectomy with high initial abundance of Staphylococcus and/or Pseudomonas are more likely to develop subsequent tissue expander-related infections from these respective organisms.

Botulinum Toxin in Raynaud's Phenomenon
Recruiting
Raynaud's Phenomenon (RP) is the most common vasospastic disorder encountered by hand surgeons with an estimated prevalence of 5% in the general population. It's manifestations are broad, and can range from minor to severe. Sometimes it can be refractory to treatments. The goal of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of Botulinum toxin (BT) in the treatment of treatment refractory RP by objective and subjective measures.

Study of Healthy Cohort for Early Detection of Cancer
Recruiting
Cancer produces a significant burden on society with a majority diagnosed at late stages when the chance of cure is low. Early diagnosis improves patient outcomes. Data consisting of lifestyle factors, medications, physical activity, years before conventional cancer diagnosis is also worthwhile for to determine early detection. This is only achievable with longitudinal tracking of a large number of healthy individuals and identifying those who do develop cancer over time.

A Clinical Investigation Evaluating Wound Closure with OptiPulse™ Versus SOC in the Treatment of Non-Healing DFU's
Recruiting
The purpose of this clinical investigation is to assess the safety and performance of Compedica's OptiPulse™ and to collect subject outcome data on the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers (DFU's) versus the standard of care (SOC). OptiPulse™ is designed to enhance blood circulation in the venules and arterioles. Fibracol Plus (or equivalent) is a collagen alginate dressing that is used as the primary dressing. Both products are 510(k) FDA cleared and will be used within the cleared intended use. Read More

Atrial Late Gadolinium Enhancement in Patients with Repaired Congenital Heart Disease
Recruiting
In this research study the investigators want to learn more about how well the investigators can visualize scar tissue in the heart by MRI. In patients with congenital heart disease who need a procedure in the electrophysiology laboratory, how the MRI findings match the findings in the electrophysiology laboratory is not known. This study works to answer these questions. Participants will undergo a cardiac MRI as part of the routine clinical care that was ordered by their doctors and additional... Read More

Palliative Radiotherapy with Lurbinectedin in Patients with Extensive Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer
Recruiting
This phase I trial aims to determine if it is safe to use palliative radiotherapy and lurbinectedin at the same time to treat small cell lung cancer that has spread outside of the chest and that has grown after being treated with chemotherapy (extensive stage). Lurbinectedin kills tumor cells by blocks a process called transcription that small cell lung cancer relies on to survive. It also damages the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) of tumor cells, which is similar to the way radiation kills tumor c... Read More

Effect of Novel Exhalational Delivery System with Fluticasone (EDS-FLU) on Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (ETD)
Recruiting
Intranasal nasal steroid sprays are the mainstay of treatment for chronic Eustachian tube dysfunction despite having little supportive evidence in the literature. A novel, commercially available nasal spray delivery system is available now for fluticasone that improves its delivery to the nasopharynx. The hypothesis of this study is that fluticasone using the novel spray system is effective for Eustachian tube dysfunction (ETD).

Vascular Endothelial Dysfunction in Sleep Apnea
Recruiting
This double-blind placebo-controlled parallel group randomized study design will be used to test whether 4 weeks of atorvastatin 10 mg daily reduces levels of inflammatory markers in OSA patients treated with CPAP (standard of care). The purpose of this study is to investigate: 1) whether statins reduce endothelial inflammation and pro-thrombotic conditions in OSA, including in patients adherent to CPAP (Aim 1); and 2) whether statins reduce endothelial inflammation and pro-thrombotic conditions... Implementing PrEP for Women Who Inject Drugs
Recruiting
Women who inject drugs are among the most vulnerable to acquiring HIV, but very few women who inject drugs are prescribed pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention largely due to barriers within our healthcare system. This research will consider the perspectives of women who inject drugs, healthcare providers, and clinic leadership to improve the way primary care and reproductive health clinics deliver PrEP to women who inject drugs, thereby reducing new HIV infections in this populatio...
