The preschool age is a crucial period of growth and an optimal time to begin to establish healthy eating and physical activity habits leading to better food and activity choices into adulthood, thereby minimizing risk for obesity-related diseases and decreasing the cardiometabolic disparities in this Indigenous population. More Outside Your Door is a multi-level, randomized, stepped-wedge intervention trial designed to reduce the disparity of childhood obesity in Yup'ik Alaska Native children by increasing the proportion of nutrient-dense traditional and traditional-like foods offered and increasing physical activity, particularly outdoor activities related to traditional Yup'ik subsistence and lifestyle practices. This 5-year intervention trial targeting 3-5 year olds is conducted in partnership with Rural Action Community Action Program Head Start programs in 12 rural Alaskan communities, where each site is assigned annually to a wedge group to receive either a community-altered culturally-tailored 8-month traditional foods and activities curriculum intervention or the standard regional Head Start program intervention. This is a prospective, single-center, randomized control study to determine if video education at the time of postpartum discharge improves patient knowledge on the warning signs for the top three causes of severe maternal morbidity (infection, hemorrhage, and blood pressure disorders) in the first seven days following delivery for self-identified, Black, Latinx, other with two or more self-identified races, Medicaid, and/or uninsured postpartum individuals. Participants will be randomized to written discharge education + video education (intervention) vs standard discharge education (control). They will complete a baseline questionnaire and a post-discharge education questionnaire during their postpartum stay to assess for knowledge improvement. This randomized controlled trial will test the efficacy and safety of automated insulin delivery (AID) in hospitalized patients with diabetes (type 1 or type 2) requiring insulin therapy who are admitted to general medical/surgical floors. The main objectives of this study are: * To test the efficacy and safety of AID versus multiple daily insulin injections (MDI) + CGM in the inpatient setting * To determine differences in CGM-derived metrics between AID and MDI plus CGM in the hospital and explore differences in treatment effect according to individual characteristics. Multiple retrospective studies suggest that the administration of corticosteroids to treat irAEs is safe, and does not compromise efficacy of ICI therapy in cancer patients. While \~67% of patients respond to corticosteroids, 33% of patients require biologic therapy such as TNFα inhibitors (e.g. infliximab), integrin α4β7 inhibitors (e.g. vedolizumab), or JAK/STAT inhibitors (e.g. tofactinib). This study aims to determine that distinct pathobionts govern the development of irCAE and IMC; and that the administration of hdFMT may reverse steroid-refractory irCAEs or IMC. The use of hdFMT has been shown to be effective in steroid and biologic (TNFα and/or integrin α₄β₇ inhibitor) refractory colitis in PD-1 and/or CTLA-4 ICI treated cancer patients in single-institution case series. This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of VDPHL01 in male and female subjects with Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA). AGA (or pattern of hair loss) is a genetic disorder caused by an excessive (too much) hair follicle response to androgens (hormone) that causes hair loss. VDPHL01 8.5 mg Tablets for males and VDPHL01 4.5 mg Tablets for females are an investigational oral drug to treat male and female pattern baldness. This multiple center, open-label, study will last about 13 months and includes 11 study visits (screening, baseline (day 1), week 2, month 1, month 2, month 4, month 6, month 8, month 10, month 12, month 13). Male subjects that meet the study eligibility criteria will be administered VDPHL01 once daily for 12 months. This single-arm proof-of-concept research study aims to assess the effect of a digital incentive spirometer (IS) device and a companion mobile-based app on incentive spirometry adherence in patients post-surgery. The digital IS utilizes a sensor to measure inspiratory breaths, and these data are transmitted wirelessly to a secure cloud database. Surges in the sympathetic nervous system occur at the ictus of a variety of neurological critical illnesses including intracranial hemorrhage and ischemic stroke. It is hypothesized that these exaggerated increases in sympathetic nervous activity produce maladaptations that promote secondary brain injury. One of these possible mechanisms include diffuse vasospasm that cause cerebral ischemia. Hence, methods to abrogate the sympathetic nervous system in this context are under active investigation. One possible method is the regional anesthesia technique of the stellate ganglion nerve block, which is ordinarily used for complex regional pain syndrome, but has been shown to reduce cerebral sympathetic activity and reduces vasospasm in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage. However, its effect on the microcirculation is not clear. Hence, we propose to study patients receiving the stellate ganglion nerve block as part of their standard medical care and to image their retinal microcirculation before and after the procedure using Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA).
