The goal of this clinical trial is to assess the safety and feasibility of providing extra doses of rehabilitation therapy for persons with a recent stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and/or spinal cord injury (SCI). The therapy treatment targets to improve arm function by introducing telerehabilitation to the bedside of participants during the inpatient rehab admission period. Participants will use a newly developed functional training system (HandyMotion) to access therapy treatment program directly from their hospital room. HandyMotion is a sensor-based training system that can connect to the TV set in the hospital room, enabling patients to access their therapy training program to practice rehab-oriented games and exercises ad libitum, at any time of the day. The goal of this investigator initiated interventional study is to improve the response to the anticancer treatments (chemotherapy) in people who have previously untreated metastatic pancreas cancer. The main question it aims to answer is: • Do new types of immune-based therapies, called botensilimab, and balstilimab, when given in combination with chemotherapy consisting of nab-paclitaxel + gemcitabine + cisplatin, and oral medications of chloroquine and celecoxib help patients with previously untreated metastatic pancreatic cancer? Indigenous persons experience a high burden of Staphylococcus aureus (SA) invasive disease and skin and soft tissue infections. SA carriage on the skin is factor for development of SA infections. The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate a community-informed approach to reduce carriage of SA. Participants will be assigned to education and household supplies for prevention of SA with and without a biomedical intervention. Researchers will compare SA carriage in the two groups. Read Less

The question is, What are the effects of communicative interaction on verbal communication in people with ALS? The way people process and remember information may be related to adverse childhood experiences and Opioid Use Disorder symptoms. The purpose of this project is to examine brain function and performance during learning and memory tasks in adults. The study will compare measures of learning and memory across three groups of participants: those with an Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) that take buprenorphine for opioid replacement therapy, adults without an Opioid Use Disorder taking buprenorphine, and healthy adults that do not have an Opioid Use Disorder and are not taking buprenorphine. The primary aim of this clinical trial is to evaluate how fasted prolonged exercise may influence circulating reproductive hormones (i.e., estradiol, progesterone, luteinizing hormone) and menstrual cycle length when energy availability is maintained at or above 30 kcal/kg lean body mass/ day among women who regularly do running or cycling exercise. A secondary aim is to determine the effects of fasted prolonged exercise on serum leptin and cortisol. Participants will be asked to do the following over a \~3 month enrollment period: * attend a laboratory visit at the beginning of the study to have their resting metabolic rate, aerobic fitness, and body composition tested * monitor their menstrual cycle length, urine hormones, perceived stress levels, and diet for \~3 months * complete 3, 90-minute exercise sessions on a stationary bike or treadmill either fed (consuming a carbohydrate meal 1 h prior and 0.7 g carbohydrate/ kg body mass/ h during exercise) or fasted (consuming no meal prior and no carbohydrates during exercise) during month \~3 * saliva samples will be taken prior to and after 90-minute exercise sessions for quantification of leptin and cortisol Read Less

Comparing white-light cystoscopy (WLC) and blue-light cystoscopy (BLC) in TURBT for high risk (HR) non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients is crucial to determine the most effective method for reducing residual disease burden and improving recurrence-free survival. Enhanced visualization with BLC may lead to more accurate resections, potentially decreasing recurrence rates and improving long-term outcomes for bladder cancer patients. Patients will be randomized to either WLC TURBT or BLC TURBT, and outcomes will be measured using standard-of-care testing with cystoscopy and cytology, along with minimal residual disease (MRD) burden evaluation using urine next-generation sequencing. Platelet-derived growth factor drives wound healing and tissue regeneration, and manufactured PDGF is currently used to heal diabetic foot ulcers and regenerate bone in periodontal and orthopedic patients. Manufactured recombinant human PDGF has the potential to improve the success rate for complete healing of complex perianal fistulas, reduce the recurrence rate due to reopening of the fistula tract, and avoid complications associated with routine surgical interventions.
