This is an inpatient four-arm randomized control trial comparing single drug clonazepam (S arm), a two-drug combination clonazepam/olanzapine (D arm), and a three-drug combination clonazepam/olanzapine/buprenorphine (T arm) with treatment as usual (TAU arm) in the treatment of emotional distress, specifically the Suicide Crisis Syndrome (SCS). All participants in experimental arms receive 2-day pulse treatments targeting four out of five of the acute emotional distress symptoms. The primary outcome measure is SCS at discharge and one-month follow-up. The goal of this clinical trial is to compare amino acid-fortified oral rehydration therapy (ORT) to the standard of care ORT in pediatric patients with acute gastroenteritis (AGE). The main questions it aims to answer are: * can amino acid-fortified ORT reduce the duration and severity of AGE compared to standard of care ORT? * can amino acid-fortified ORT increase the secretion of antimicrobial peptides in the gastrointestinal tract compared to standard of care ORT? Participants will be assigned to the experimental treatment (amino acid-fortified ORT) or the standard of care ORT and their disease severity, duration, and stool antimicrobial peptide content. The goal of this interventional study is to learn about the biomechanical factors underlying the beneficial changes in children with cerebral palsy after using individually-adapted stand-on ride-on power mobility devices (PMD). The main questions we aim to answer are: * How does the use of stand-on PMDs affect static balance in children with cerebral palsy? * How does the use of stand-on PMDs affect dynamic balance and mobility function in children with cerebral palsy? Children ages 4-6 years old with cerebral palsy (GMFCS levels II and III) will: * Use individually-adapted stand-on PMDs for three months. * Undergo tests to measure static balance, dynamic balance, and mobility function before and after the intervention. * Receive a full biomechanical assessment (kinematics, kinetics, muscle activity, gait spatiotemporal characteristics). Researchers will compare pre-intervention and post-intervention measurements to quantify improvements in balance, muscle activation, and mobility. Read Less

This investigation is a prospective, multicenter clinical investigation. It is anticipated that a total of 50 subjects will be enrolled at up to 5 sites. Enrollment is estimated to commence in Q4 of 2018. Neither subjects nor investigators are blinded to treatment and the clinical investigation includes a historical control which will be compared to the Femoral Nail PF of the T2 Alpha Femur Antegrade GT/PF Nailing System. Total duration of enrollment, 12 month follow-up and analysis is expected to take 29 months. The clinical investigation has been designed to follow the surgeon's standard of care for femur fractured subjects, in addition to a 12 month follow-up visit. The primary endpoint of this clinical investigation is to confirm efficacy/performance at 12 months, as measured by the Lower Extremity Measure (LEM). Confirmation of efficacy/performance at 12 months will be based on an equal or greater (non-inferior) LEM score result of the Femoral Nail PF of the T2 Alpha Femur Antegrade GT/PF Nailing System compared to the T2 Femur benchmark literature. The Parent-Child Assistance Program (PCAP) helps mothers who have used alcohol, opioids, or other drugs during pregnancy and their children through the work of highly trained, closely supervised case managers. Case managers work closely with mothers over the course of three years, meeting the mothers in their own homes when possible, to help them to set goals and take advantage of available resources. The primary aims of PCAP include: (1) assisting mothers in obtaining substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and staying in recovery, (2) linking mothers to community resources that will help them build and maintain healthy, independent family lives for themselves and their children, and (3) preventing future drug and alcohol use during pregnancy. This study brings PCAP to Oklahoma (the state with the highest incarceration rate for women, where most enter the criminal justice system for drug charges) for the first time. This five-year project includes 200 women who will enroll in the study and be randomly assigned to the treatment (100 women) or control group (100 women). The intervention (i.e., PCAP services) will take place over a three-year period at two sites: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Tulsa, Oklahoma. This evaluation will measure participants' substance use, substance use disorder (SUD) treatment outcomes, and a host of other well-being outcomes-including but not limited to subsequent substance-exposed births, use of public assistance, education, use of family planning methods, and employment-to evaluate the effects of PCAP services. Among these, the investigators have identified four key outcomes: (1) the mother is on a reliable method of birth control, (2) abstinence for six months, (3) child custody (i.e., placement of children in foster care and/or with kinship providers), and (4) criminal justice involvement. The use of Cannabis is increasing in the population, and the effects that this might have on different medical procedures are poorly understood. Particularly when submitted to deep sedation or general anesthesia, there is no consensus on best drugs or doses to deliver. The purpose of this clinical trial is to clarify the influence of chronic cannabis use during office based general anesthesia for extraction of teeth. The aim of this trial is to determine the potential effects and mechanisms of cannabinoid-induced pain relief in complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). Multiple psychophysical approaches will be conducted in conjunction with psychological and inflammatory marker testing to determine if and how cannabinoids produce stabilized improvement in CRPS-related pain and comorbidities. This is an open label, phase I dose-escalation study to evaluate the safety of coronavirus-specific T cell (CST) therapy for prevention of SARS-CoV-2 infection in immunocompromised patients following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Participants will receive donor-derived CSTs for prevention of SARS-CoV-2 infection after HSCT (≥28 days and \<4 months after HSCT). In this dose escalation trial, three doses (1x107/m2, 2x107/m2, and 4x107/m2) will be tested for safety, with study arms for adult (≥18 years of age and \<80 years) HSCT recipients (Arm A) and pediatric (≥12 years of age and \<18 years) HSCT recipients (Arm B), and defined dose escalations in each study arm. The physician modified endograft is intended for treating complex, pararenal, juxtarenal and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms requiring coverage of renal arteries, the superior mesenteric artery or the celiac trunk in high-risk patients who do not have an option for endovascular repair with an FDA approved endograft and have an appropriate anatomy. There will be one investigational site with a total of 40 subjects to be enrolled. Time to complete enrollment will be 24 months and the subject follow-up time will be five years from last subject enrollment. The primary safety endpoint is freedom from major adverse events (MAE) at 30 days or during hospitalization if this exceeds 30 days. The primary effectiveness endpoint is the proportion of study subjects with treatment success at one year. The subjects will be followed at one month, six months, one year, and yearly thereafter for a total period of five years. Subjects will be followed up clinically for life. Clinical exam follow up may be phone or video visit with CT scan evaluation and duplex ultrasound as needed. The proportion of treatment group subjects that achieve and maintain treatment success annually to five years will be investigated. Read Less
