Surgical treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) are necessary when non-procedural approaches fail to alleviate lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) or bladder outlet obstruction (BOO). Open simple prostatectomy and laser enucleation are recommended for prostatic adenoma size greater than 80 ml. Minimally invasive approaches, such as robotic-assisted simple prostatectomy, have gained popularity due to their comparable outcomes with lower morbidity. The introduction of the da Vinci single-port (SP) robotic platform offers potential advantages, but its outcomes have not been thoroughly investigated. The purpose of the current study is to examine the effects of a dietary supplement containing plant derived phenolics at two different dose levels in otherwise generally healthy adults with risk factors (high BMI at dyslipidemia and/or pre-diabetes) for body fat composition. This is a prospective, randomized, controlled, non-inferiority study of patients undergoing tonsil surgeries at Boston Children's Hospital Waltham. The overall aim is to evaluate the efficacy of an opioid anesthetic plan (morphine, ketorolac, and acetaminophen versus an opioid sparing anesthetic plan (dexmedetomidine, ketorolac and acetaminophen) for perioperative analgesia and recovery time in patients undergoing tonsillectomies and tonsillotomies at Boston Children's Hospital Waltham. Secondary measures include rescue opioids administered in post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), re-operation secondary to bleeding, emergence delirium, post-operative nausea and vomiting, intraoperative hemodynamics, intraoperative vasopressor administration, and length of procedure. Glaucoma is a progressive disease resulting in blindness. Determining the onset of the disease is critical so patients may obtain treatment to preserve useful vision. This study will collect data from a population of glaucoma suspects (with positive factors for the disease but with normal vision) along with a population of age matched controls using the pattern electroretinogram (PERG) and other standard eye tests for glaucoma. The PERG measures the function of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) which come together to form the optic nerve. RGCs may become dysfunctional before dying. The Continuous loop deconvolution technique (CLAD) will be used to extract transient PERG responses in both glaucoma suspects and age matched controls. All patients will be monitored with PERG, Optic Coherence Tomography (OCT) and other ancillary tests over 2 years. CLAD will be compared with conventional techniques of monitoring glaucoma (standard PERG, OCT, visual field etc) to see if the CLAD is better at distinguishing between glaucoma suspects and controls. The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate a screening method to detect clinically relevant prostate cancer. This clinical trial is using genetic data to determine a man's risk of cancer, together with multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) to identify men with higher grade cancer. The main questions it aims to answer are: * If genetic data related to prostate cancer used with MRI can identify higher-grade, potentially fatal prostate cancer * What age a MRI is useful clinically for prostate cancer screening * If deep learning methods used with MRI when the genetic risk of the man is known can more accurately predict significant cancers Participants will: * Get a prostate specific antigen (PSA) blood test * Get an mpMRI * Get the results of their genetic data to determine if they are considered high-, intermediate-, or low-risk for prostate cancer based on the trials genetic testing * Follow-up for this trial based on the participants risk and findings from the PSA test and mpMRI Read Less

However, it can lead to complications such as fluid overload, pulmonary edema, and increased mortality in some patients. Therefore, identifying patients who are likely to respond to fluid therapy is crucial for optimizing their management. Several methods have been used to assess fluid responsiveness, such as passive leg raising, stroke volume variation, and cardiac output monitoring. However, these methods have limitations and may not be feasible in all patients.
