Validation of Ejection Fraction and Cardiac Output Using Biostrap Wristband
Recruiting
In this study, the investigators will compare the accuracy of the Biostrap wristband, a wearable device with a clinical-grade Photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, to measure ejection fraction and cardiac output in patients undergoing a cardiac ultrasound and pulmonary arterial catheterization, respectively.

AV-101 Alone and in Combination With Probenecid in Healthy Subjects
Recruiting
This is an open-label, two period, fixed-sequence, drug-drug interaction study to compare the PK and PD of orally administered AV-101 alone and in combination with probenecid in healthy subjects. In Treatment Period 1, subjects will receive AV-101 following an overnight fast of at least 8 hours. In Treatment Period 2, subjects will fast overnight for at least 8 hours, and then receive AV-101 2 hours after receiving 1,000 mg probenecid. Each Treatment Period will be separated by a washout period.... Read More

National Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting Survey and Etiology
Recruiting
If your serious vaccine-induced adverse event has been entered in the CDC Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) we are interested in enrolling you for this study in order to log your symptoms. The primary goal of this study is to create a national database and gather vaccine-associated serious adverse events/injury data from newly vaccinated individuals in the US in order to identify the possible underlying causal relationships and plausible underlying biological mechanisms. The projec... Read More

Minimizing Toxicity in HLA-identical Related Donor Transplantation for Children With Sickle Cell Disease
Recruiting
This multisite prospective study seeks to determine if HLA-identical sibling donor transplantation using alemtuzumab, low dose total-body irradiation, and sirolimus (Sickle transplant Using a Nonmyeloablative approach, "SUN") can decrease the toxicity of transplant while achieving a high cure rate for children with sickle cell disease (SCD).

Detection of Cannabis Impairment With ISBRG's SpotLight-THC
Recruiting
Subjects will participate in a 2-visit study protocol in which they will be administered cannabis of pre-determined concentrations and asked to complete a simulated drive in a driving simulator. Subjects will be scanned on two SpotLight-THC (Alpha and Beta iterations) devices and peripheral venous whole blood will be collected from subjects for analysis on up to four occasions on each visit. The purpose of the investigation will be to determine whether the SpotLight-THC device is a reliable mea... Read More

New Tool to Enhance Post-stroke Upper Extremity Disability
Recruiting
Individuals with low socioeconomic status (SES) are more likely to have a stroke, more disabled at 3 months, and less likely to be independently ambulatory. Individuals with low SES struggle to adhere to physician guidelines because of 1) increased disability leaves patients ineligible or unable to tolerate therapy, and 2) poor access to quality care i.e., lack of transportation to therapy. To reduce post-stroke disparity in low SES groups, we need to invest in development of novel tools that ma... Read More

Delivery of Enhance Fitness Trial
Recruiting
Arthritis is a common condition in the United States, and a leading cause of pain and disability. Physical exercise is recommended for managing arthritis, but access to evidence-based exercise programs is limited, particularly in rural areas. Therefore, the investigators propose to evaluate remote delivery of an evidence-based exercise program called Enhance Fitness (EF) that is recommended for arthritis management. The primary purpose of this study is to determine if remotely delivered EF is no... Read More

Diffusion MRI in Heart Failure
Recruiting
The development of symptomatic heart failure is frequently preceded by a pre-clinical period of structural remodeling in the heart. The remodeling process driving this transition, however, remains poorly understood. The investigators hypothesize that imaging the diffusion of water in the heart with MRI will allow its microstructure to be resolved. The investigators further hypothesize that the characterization of microstructural changes in the heart will help elucidate the pathogenesis of heart... Read More
