Sleep Profiles in REM Sleep Behavior Disorder
Recruiting
Rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (RBD) is a sleep disorder in which you act out dreams during REM sleep. Sleep disturbances are very common in RBD, where they negatively impact patients' quality of life and safety. One of the known causes of sleep disturbance is the impairment of the "circadian rhythm", or the human sleep/wake cycle. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of disruption of the circadian rhythm in the development of RBD.

Online Wellness Intervention for College Students
Recruiting
We are evaluating the effects of an online single-session mental health intervention (the Common Elements Toolbox; COMET). To evaluate COMET, we are conducting a randomized controlled trial with college students attending American universities. Students will be randomized to the COMET condition or to a wait-list control condition.

Immunity After COVID-19 Vaccination
Recruiting
The purpose of the research is to evaluate new blood tests, which measure immunity to the COVID-19 coronavirus after vaccination. These tests will be used to measure T-cell and antibody immunity after COVID-19 vaccination. Recent studies show that less than one-fifth of chronically immunosuppressed transplant recipients developed anti-receptor-binding domain antibodies after the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine (Boyarski, 2021).

Evaluation of a Novel Female Hygiene Device for Postcoital Discomfort
Recruiting
Previous research has shown that semen deposition in the vagina after intercourse leads to dripping, discomfort, and vaginal odor. This study is evaluating a hygiene device designed to be inserted into the vagina after intercourse to absorb semen deposited into the vaginal canal to determine if there is a reduction in dripping and odor, and to determine the amount of fluids absorbed.

Development of a Robotic Ankle Assist Device
Recruiting
The overall objectives of this work is to establish feasibility of a robotic ankle assist device (RAAD) to improve mobility in free-living settings and to establish the RAAD as an effective tool to provide increased dose and precision of targeted ankle therapy. The first specific aim is to complete a personal-use feasibility analysis of ankle mobility assistance. It is hypothesized the children will be able to safely walk faster and travel farther in the community when using the RAAD device vs.... Read More

Pembrolizumab and Carboplatin in Treating Patients With Circulating Tumor Cells Positive Metastatic Breast Cancer
Recruiting
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the impact on progression-free survival (PFS) with the combination carboplatin - pembrolizumab in patients with CTC (circulating tumor cells) positive, HER2 negative metastatic breast cancer previously treated with anthracyclines and taxanes. Previous studies have indicated that recurrent breast cancers are more resistant to chemotherapy and maybe associated with a weak immune system. This study is investigating the use of an immune therapy drug, pembroliz... Read More

Multidimensional Classification of Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI)
Recruiting
This study aims to explore possible solutions needed for valid and reliable multidimensional objective assessment tools to use in screening performers for concussions, as well as, for use postinjury assessment and management of the mild traumatic brain injury, regardless of time since injury occurrence. These mobile tools would also enable clinicians to test the effectiveness of the interventions used post-concussion, prior to fully releasing the performer back into full performance/active statu...
