Great Toe Strength (GTS) is a potential clinical biomarker that has been associated with functional mobility and health; Additionally, GTS has been identified in the literature as one of the early symptoms of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). The purpose of this research study is to evaluate GTS in individuals with CIPN and healthy adults using ToeScale and see how it relates to nerve issues from chemotherapy. Additionally, we aim to assess the usability of the novel GTS assessment device, ToeScale among the participants. This phase I trial is evaluating a new imaging tracer (68Ga-FAPi-46) with positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) to determine where and to which degree the tracer (68Ga-FAPi-46) accumulates in normal and cancer tissues (the biodistribution) in patients with solid tumors or hematologic (blood) cancers. PET is an established imaging technique that utilizes small amounts of radioactivity attached to very minimal amounts of tracer, in the case of this research, 68Ga-FAPi-46. Because some cancers take up 68Ga-FAPi-46, it can be seen with PET. CT utilizes x-rays that traverse the body from the outside. CT images provide an exact outline of organs and potential inflammatory tissue where it occurs in a patient's body. Combining a PET scan with a CT scan can help make the image easier to interpret. PET/CT scans are hybrid scanners that combine both modalities into a single scan during the same examination. Read Less

The purpose of this study is to learn about how long apalutamide and enzalutamide are taken by men to treat mCSPC. Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men. The prostate is a gland in the male body that helps make semen. Metastatic cancer is a cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. Castration-sensitive prostate cancer means the cancer is being controlled by keeping the testosterone levels as low as would be expected if the testicles were removed by surgery. This is a real-world study, not a clinical study. This means that researchers will look at what happens when men receive the treatments prescribed by their own doctor as part of their usual healthcare treatment. In this study, researchers will use information from cancer clinics (Flatiron Health electronic health records). The study will include patients' information from the database for men who: * Were identified to have mCSPC. * Started treatment with apalutamide or enzalutamide (index date) for mCSPC. * Were 18 years of age or older on the index date. Men in this study will be taking apalutamide or enzalutamide for treatment of their mCSPC. The study will compare how long men take apalutamide or enzalutamide. This study will use patient information from cancer clinics. Information from start of apalutamide or enzalutamide treatment until information is available in the database will be used to describe how long patients receive treatment. Read Less

The principal aim of this study is to obtain safety and tolerability data when MRT-8102 is administered orally as single and multiple doses to healthy participants and participants at cardiovascular risk with elevated CRP. This information, together with the pharmacokinetic (PK) data, will help establish the dose and dosing regimen suitable for future studies. The study drug, MRT-8102, is experimental. This is the first study in which MRT-8102 will be given to humans. The most common form of idiopathic dystonia is adult-onset cervical dystonia (CD), a focal form of dystonia affecting the muscles of the neck. CD is often associated with pain and limited range of motion, and frequently leads to reduced quality of life and disability. Effective long-term treatment options are extremely limited. Recurring botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) injections can ease the symptoms of CD, but they frequently provide only partial relief and can be associated with intolerable side effects. Deep brain stimulation can be used to treat more severe cases of CD, but this neurosurgical procedure is invasive, on average only about 50% effective and may lead to serious adverse effects. Novel treatment approaches for CD are desperately needed to alleviate symptoms and improve the quality of life for the many who suffer from this chronic and disabling neurological disorder. Heart failure occurs when the heart cannot pump blood effectively, leading to fluid buildup in the body. This can cause problems such as difficulty breathing, swelling, and extreme tiredness. In severe cases, these symptoms worsen to the point where hospitalization is required. Unfortunately, many patients with severe heart failure are readmitted to the hospital within 30 days after discharge, which is both physically and emotionally challenging for patients and places a significant financial burden on individuals and the healthcare system. Although symptoms such as difficulty breathing and swelling may improve during the hospital stay, some patients are discharged with excess fluid remaining in their bodies. This retained fluid often causes symptoms to worsen, leading to subsequent hospital readmissions. Inadequate management of fluid levels can also harm the kidneys, further complicating the patient's condition. This study aims to improve care for heart failure patients by utilizing a simple, non-invasive tool to assess fluid levels more accurately at the bedside. The tool measures the size of a large blood vessel in the neck, providing key information about the pressure inside the heart. This information enables clinicians to determine the appropriate amount of medication needed to remove just the right amount of fluid. Properly managing fluid levels can help prevent kidney damage and improve overall patient outcomes. The primary goal of this study is to evaluate whether this tool can reduce the number of patients readmitted to the hospital within 30 days of discharge. A secondary goal is to determine whether the tool can help protect kidney function by allowing for better fluid management. If successful, this approach has the potential to help heart failure patients stay healthier, reduce hospital visits, and lower healthcare costs. Read Less

This is a first-in-human clinical study to evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of RXRG001 administered in the ducts of the parotid glands in adult patients with radiation-induced xerostomia (dry mouth) and hyposalivation (reduced saliva production). In Part 1 of the study (open-label, single-arm), patients will receive unilateral administrations of RXRG001 in 3 single ascending dose cohorts and in 3 multiple ascending dose cohorts. Data on the optimal mode of labor induction after preterm prelabor rupture of membranes (PPROM) is lacking. Studies have shown no difference between oxytocin and misoprostol use for labor induction in this cohort (1). The preponderance of evidence from term pregnancies suggests that Foley catheter coupled with oxytocin is better than oxytocin alone, with a higher rate of delivery within 24 hours when a Foley catheter followed by oxytocin is compared to oxytocin alone. However, the use of a Foley catheter has not been evaluated in prospective studies on patients with PPROM. Read Less
