Obeticholic Acid for Prevention in Barrett's Esophagus
Recruiting
This phase II trial studies the effect of obeticholic acid in treating patients with Barrett's esophagus. Bile acids present in duodenogastroesophageal reflux contribute to neoplastic progression in Barrett's esophagus. Obeticholic acid has shown anti-cholestatic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic effects mediated by FXR activation. It down regulates bile acid availability and decreases proinflammatory cytokine production including IL-1beta and TNFalpha in human enterocytes and immune cells. T... Read More

A Study of SDX-7320 in Combination With Eribulin for People With Breast Cancer
Recruiting
The researchers are doing this study to find out whether the study drug, SDX-7320, when combined with the standard chemotherapy eribulin, is an effective treatment for people with TNBC and metabolic dysfunction. The researchers will also look at whether the study treatment (SDX-7320 combined with eribulin) is safe and causes few or mild side effects in participants. The researchers will compare this treatment approach to eribulin alone.

The Effects of Palmar Cooling on Repeated Sprinting Ability
Recruiting
Repeated sprinting ability is key for athletic performance in a variety of sport settings. Significant degradations in work output (i.e. fatigue) have been shown to develop after just one sprinting bout1. This pilot study aims to investigate the effects that noninvasive transient temperature manipulation has on an individual's ability to perform repeated sprints. The investigators aim to enroll 90 healthy individuals, 18-30 years of age. Participants will be randomized into two groups (Group A,... Read More

Speech Motor Learning and Retention (Aim 1)
Recruiting
The overall goal of this research is to test a new model of speech motor learning, whose central hypothesis is that learning and retention are associated with plasticity not only in motor areas of the brain but in auditory and somatosensory regions as well. The strategy for the proposed research is to identify individual brain areas that contribute causally to retention by disrupting their activity with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Investigators will also use functional magnetic reso... Read More
