The goal of this clinical trial is to compare two types of closure in patients with ostomies that are ready for closure. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Surgical site infection rates 2. Patient quality of life 3. Time to wound healing Participants will undergo either complete ostomy wound closure after washing out the wound with Prontosan, or their ostomy wound will be closed using the Pursestring method, where the wound will be left partially open and allowed to heal from the inside out. SALT is a multi-centre, non-blinded, non-randomized prospective interventional pilot study teaching lactating parents of hospitalized preterm infants how to test their breastmilk sodium (Na) using point-of-care (POC) meters. A drop in Na is a sign of secretory activation in the breast that is associated with adequate short and long-term breast milk volumes in this vulnerable population. This is a first-in-human clinical study to evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of RXRG001 administered in the ducts of the parotid glands in adult patients with radiation-induced xerostomia (dry mouth) and hyposalivation (reduced saliva production). In Part 1 of the study (open-label, single-arm), patients will receive unilateral administrations of RXRG001 in 3 single ascending dose cohorts and in 3 multiple ascending dose cohorts. To date, there are no diagnostics capable of predicting treatment response to intravesical BCG. Because of this severe limitation, nearly 50% of patients treated with BCG fail therapy and will a) require additional intravesical therapy or b) require cystectomy. Cancer is a condition where cells in a specific part of body grow and reproduce uncontrollably. The purpose of this study is to assess safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and preliminary efficacy of ABBV-706 as a monotherapy and in combination with budigalimab, carboplatin, or cisplatin. ABBV-706 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of small cell lung cancer (SCLC), high-grade central nervous system (CNS) tumors and high-grade neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs). There are multiple treatment arms in this study. Participants will either receive ABBV-706 as a single agent or in combination with budigalimab (another investigational drug), carboplatin or cisplatin at different doses. Approximately 350 adult participants will be enrolled in the study across sites worldwide. In part 1 (dose escalation), ABBV-706 will be intravenously infused in escalating doses as a monotherapy until the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) is determined in participants with SCLC, high-grade CNS tumors, and high-grade NECs. In part 2, multiple doses will be selected from Part 1 and SCLC participants will be assigned to one of these doses in a randomized fashion to determine the recommended Phase 2 dose. In Part 3a, participants with SCLC or NECs will receive ABBV-706 in combination with budigalimab intravenously every 3 weeks. In Part 3b participants with SCLC or NECs will receive ABBV-706 in combination with either carboplatin or cisplatin intravenously. In Part 4a, participants with CNS tumors will receive ABBV-706 intravenously at a dose determined from Part 1. In Part 4b, participants with NECs will receive ABBV-706 intravenously at a dose selected from Part 1. The estimated duration of the study is up to 3 years. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. This clinical trial evaluates the feasibility and acceptability of acupressure to the ear (auricular) to address appetite and weight in patients with stage II-IV gastric, esophageal, or pancreatic cancer. Cancer anorexia, the abnormal loss of appetite, directly leads to cancer-associated weight loss (cachexia) through malnourishment, reduced caloric intake, treatment side-effects, and other modifiable risk factors. Cachexia prolongs length of hospital stay for patients, negatively impacts treatment tolerance and adherence, and reduces overall patient quality of life. Auricular acupressure is a form of micro-acupuncture that exerts its effect by stimulating the central nervous system using adhesive taped pellets applied to specific locations on the external ear. The use of these pellets to deliver auricular acupressure has been shown to improve pain, fatigue, insomnia, nausea and vomiting, depression, and quality of life in both cancer and non-cancer settings. Auricular acupressure is a safe, inexpensive, and non-invasive approach to addressing cancer-related symptoms and treatment side-effects and may be effective at improving appetite and weight loss in stage II-IV gastric, esophageal, and pancreatic cancer patients. This study seeks to understand emotion regulation in those with anxiety using real-time functional magnetic resonance imaging neurofeedback, a tool that allows individuals to control brain activity. The goal of this project is to understand how receiving feedback about one's own brain activity relates to emotion regulation ability. This work will help the study team understand the brain areas involved in emotion regulation and could lay the groundwork to test if psychotherapy outcomes can be enhanced using neurofeedback. The study hypotheses include: * Participants receiving veritable-Neurofeedback (NF) will show a greater activation increase in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) compared to sham-NF * Participants receiving veritable-NF will show greater cognitive reappraisal (CR) ability compared to those receiving sham-NF * Prefrontal cortex activation will positively correlate with CR ability Read Less

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in men in the USA with 268,490 cases diagnosed in 2022 constituting 27% of male cancers and 34,500 deaths (11%) occurred in same year.1 Prostate cancer is a very heterogeneous disease that has different presentations, molecular and pathological features, stages, and disease biology. The treatment options are dependent on the disease stage, its features, and the patient's condition and preferences. The disease outcome also varies significantly due to the previous heterogeneity of the features in addition to other social determinants of health. Therefore, it is critical to obtain real-world data that reflects the actual patterns of prostate cancer presentation, work up, management, and outcome. Real World Prostate Cancer Registry (RWPCR) aims at compiling real world data from patients presented with prostate cancer in the tristate area. The data collection will be prospective and longitudinal including patients' demographics and disease characteristics, work up, management, and outcome. Read Less
