The purpose of Lunar OI (Orthostatic Intolerance) is to determine if there are differences between males and females in tolerance to and cardiovascular responses during different angles of head-up tilt simulating gravity levels less than or equal to Earth's gravity. Also, this study will determine if a gradient compression garment affects tolerance to tilting and the cardiovascular stress at different tilt angles. Males and females are being identified by biological sex. This will be a two-phased study design. In Phase I we will determine whether there are differences in the development of signs or symptoms of orthostatic intolerance between males and females when tilted head up on a table to different angles to simulate gravity levels that astronauts may experience when landing on or launching from the surface of the Moon. In Phase II, the tilt tests simulating the same gravity levels from Phase I will be repeated, but a custom-made lower-body compression garment will be worn to see if wearing the garment affects the development of orthostatic intolerance. For both study phases, before tilting, a drug will be administered to reduce the amount fluid in the blood (plasma) to levels similar to that experienced by astronauts during spaceflight. Read Less

This phase II trial studies how anxiety is affected by 2 types of follow-up after surgery, limited follow-up and intense follow-up, in patients with stage II-III soft tissue sarcoma of the trunk and extremities. In cancer survivors, the fear of cancer coming back (recurring) is common and may persist long after the end of treatment. It may also be exacerbated by return visits for imaging (surveillance). Patients with solid tumors that have high expression levels of EphrinB2 are treated with regimens that include EphrinB2 inhibitor, sEphB4-HSA. The primary objective of this study is to demonstrate additive therapeutic benefit for sEphB4-HSA. The secondary objectives are to determine whether the sEphB4-HSA containing regimen is safe and whether the oncological endpoints of importance in each cohort improve as a result of treatment with sEphB4-HSA containing regimen relative to a predefined threshold or to a control arm in the cohort where available. This study examines whether repeated magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)s scan helps identify changes in the tumor during radiation and chemotherapy treatment in patients with high grade glioma. While many studies examine Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), little is known about its progression to high-risk nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) in PsA patients. Shared disease mechanisms may explain the increased severity in PsA. This study involves two visits from PsA patients with NAFLD and active disease signs (e.g., swollen joint, enthesitis, or psoriatic plaque). This research study is being done to learn if the study drug belantamab mafodotin, in combination with other standard medications, can improve multiple myeloma. Substituting the administration of opioids with a combination of alternative analgesics, known as opioid-free anesthesia (OFA), is gaining in popularity today and is typically administered as part of a larger multimodal strategy. However, OFA adoption is not as common today as one could expect from the potential benefits of limiting opioid use and patient involvement in the decision may impact its adoption. Relevant shared decision-making process with patients concerning the use or limited use of opioids could improve patient autonomy and empowerment. There have been no studies that have evaluated patient preference regarding opioid use and its potential impact on the quality of recovery. The investigators will perform a randomized controlled trial in which 72 eligible patients (low-income, uninsured, or on Medicaid) who are referred for colposcopy at Washington University School of Medicine, are enrolled and then screened for unmet social needs and distress.
