The purpose of this study is to evaluate evorpacept with anti-cancer therapies in advanced/metastatic malignancies. The purpose of this study is to: * Test how well the study medicine Abemaciclib, a CDK4/6 inhibitor, works to shrink lung cancer tumors in the body. * Test the safety of Abemaciclib when given to participants with small cell lung cancer (SCLC), large cell neuroendocrine lung cancer, extrapulmonary small cell cancers and other high grade neuroendocrine cancers of the lung. Specifically, this study is looking at SCLC, large cell neuroendocrine lung cancer, extrapulmonary small cell cancers and other high grade neuroendocrine cancers of the lung that have not responded to treatment (refractory) or come back after treatment with chemotherapy (relapsed) as the study medication has been shown to be effective any time the disease relapses not just in the first few months. The objective of this study is to assess the safety, efficacy, and pharmacokinetics of SA53-OS in adult participants with refractory solid tumors. The study is comprised of 2 parts: Part 1 called dose escalation, and Part 2a called dose expansion. This study starts with Part 1 where participants who are diagnosed with advanced or metastatic solid tumor cancers receive different doses of SA53-OS (starting with the lowest dose) to find the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of SA53-OS. Once the MTD of SA53-OS is known, the study continues to Part 2a where participants who are diagnosed with dedifferentiated liposarcoma (DD LPS) or other solid tumor cancers will receive SA53-OS at the MTD. The veteran population is at increased risk for EAC and its precursor lesion, Barrett's esophagus (BE), due to increased prevalence of disease risk factors compared to the general population. BE is traditionally diagnosed only when patients undergo endoscopy with biopsies. However, due to the high cost of endoscopy and the lack of studies proving efficacy of screening, endoscopy to screen for BE is not routinely recommended. A simpler screening procedure similar to a pap smear would be an ideal way to sample the esophageal tissue for cancer and its precursor condition, BE. This study proposes a non-endoscopic detection method administered in outpatient offices which would increase subsequent endoscopic detection of BE. The study team will be enrolling veterans who do not have history of gastroesophageal reflux but have multiple risk factors for esophageal adenocarcinoma. Read Less

The objectives of this study are to analyze the oral microbiome modulations occurring during the transition from partial (with some residual teeth) to full edentulous (without remaining teeth) status and implant placement in subjects affected by severe periodontitis; to evaluate if microbiome changes in relation to the used of different implant material/surface; and to assess the variance of the changes to determine the sample size for future longitudinal prospective studies. The goal of this clinical trial is to see if adding abatacept to tacrolimus and MMF prevents or reduces the chances of acute graft versus host disease which is a complication that can occur after transplant in participants with blood cancer. The usual therapy for graft versus host disease prevention after a cord blood transplant includes tacrolimus and MMF. The main question this clinical trial aims to answer is whether or not abatacept will be safe and effective in reducing aGVHD rates in dCBT. Participants will: * Partake in exams, tests, and procedures as part of usual cancer care. * Partake in conditioning, which is the treatment that is given before a transplant. * Have a cord blood transplant. * Partake in radiation following the transplant. Unintentional weight loss (UWL) is commonly associated with a wide variety of diseases and there is still no valid diagnostic pathway for evaluating UWL. When detecting UWL coupled with GRAIL Galleri testing, (an investigational pan-cancer early detection test), it is thought that there is a greater positive predictive value in detecting malignancies. This study aims to test the potential synergistic effects of UWL detection and GRAIL usage to detect malignancy at an even earlier rate. UWL will be measured using weekly weight tracking. Read Less

The purpose of this clinical trial is to assess the safety and efficacy of AM3101 to facilitate meniscal repair and reduce the incidence of non-healing complications and morbidities associated with a failed meniscal repair. The two goals of the proposed study are: (1) To determine how brain activity changes with cognitive recovery over time from acute to chronic phases of traumatic brain injury (TBI). (2) To determine how the time of anodal transcranial electrical stimulation (A-tES) administration affects cognitive performance and brain activity in TBI. To achieve these study goals, the investigators will conduct a pilot clinical trial over three years in which the investigators aim to recruit 60 patients with moderate to severe TBI at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC). During the acute phase of TBI, all participants will complete clinical questionnaires and perform 2 cognitive computer tasks while their brain activity is recorded. Half of the participants will be randomly selected to receive A-tES for 15 minutes while performing cognitive tasks and the other half will receive sham stimulation. All participants will be followed for 6 months. During their 3-month follow-up, the investigators will perform another session where all participants complete the questionnaires and receive A-tES while performing cognitive tasks during brain recording. In their last visit at 6 months post-injury, all participants will complete the questionnaires and cognitive tasks with brain recording but no stimulation treatment. From the collected data, the investigators will determine if time from brain injury correlates with brain activity during performance of cognitive tasks. The investigators will also assess the efficacy of early A-tES treatment for improving cognitive task performance and clinical test ratings at 6 months post-injury in comparison to A-tES delivered during the 3-month follow-up visit. The proposed A/Z modification of a supraglottic airway (SGA) incorporates an opening in the SGA body that enables access to the endotracheal tube (ETT) through the body of the SGA without the need of using an exchange catheter, thus enabling an ETT to move in the body of the SGA and convert a supraglottic to endotracheal ventilation. In its original form an adaptor made from same material currently used in the endotracheal tubes can make ventilation through the proposed airway device possible in exactly the same manner of a conventional SGA currently used. This adapter also known as the R-piece can be replaced with an ETT. The modification also allows placement of SGA over an existing ETT to convert and endotracheal (ET) to supraglottic (SG) mode of ventilation without the need to use an exchange catheter. Read Less

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in men in the USA with 268,490 cases diagnosed in 2022 constituting 27% of male cancers and 34,500 deaths (11%) occurred in same year.1 Prostate cancer is a very heterogeneous disease that has different presentations, molecular and pathological features, stages, and disease biology. The treatment options are dependent on the disease stage, its features, and the patient's condition and preferences. The disease outcome also varies significantly due to the previous heterogeneity of the features in addition to other social determinants of health. Therefore, it is critical to obtain real-world data that reflects the actual patterns of prostate cancer presentation, work up, management, and outcome. Real World Prostate Cancer Registry (RWPCR) aims at compiling real world data from patients presented with prostate cancer in the tristate area. The data collection will be prospective and longitudinal including patients' demographics and disease characteristics, work up, management, and outcome. Read Less
