FED-F is a modular treatment that enhances exposure therapy with psychoeducation and cognitive skills teaching how to face fears of (a) food, (b) weight gain, (c) interoception/body, and (d) social situations. The study goals are to (1) refine and test the acceptability and feasibility of FED-F treatment (Phase I), (2) test if this treatment outperforms treatment as usual (TAU) delivered post-acute treatment as adjunctive to stepdown specialty care (Phase II), and (3) to examine if treatment targets the hypothesized mechanism of action: approach behaviors (Phase II). These goals will lead to a highly deployable and accessible virtual treatment targeted at core AN mechanisms that predict relapse. Specific aims are to (1) refine FED-F into a fully virtual format with input from patients and stakeholders and collect preliminary data (N=10) on its feasibility and acceptability (Phase I), (2) conduct a small pilot RCT (randomized controlled trial) of FED-F (n=30) as compared to TAU (n=30; Phase II), and (3) examine if FED-F targets approach/avoidance behaviors and test if this mechanism is associated with clinical outcomes (Phase II). Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death in the US general population. Although CVD mortality rates declined for both Black and White populations during the past two decades, they are still higher in Black adults than White adults. There are also persistent disparities in CVD risk factors with higher prevalence of obesity, hypertension, and diabetes in Black compared to White populations. In addition, CVD and risk factors are more prevalent in the residents of Louisiana compared to the US general population. The Church-based Health Intervention to Eliminate Racial Inequalities in Cardiovascular Health (CHERISH) study will use a church-based community health worker (CHW)-led multifaceted intervention to address racial inequities in CVD risk factors in predominantly Black communities in New Orleans, Louisiana. The primary aim of the CHERISH study is to compare the impact of two implementation strategies - a CHW-led multifaceted strategy and a group-based education strategy - for delivering interventions recommended by the 2019 American College of Cardiology (ACC)/American Heart Association (AHA) Guideline on the Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease on implementation and clinical effectiveness outcomes in predominantly Black church community members over 18 months. This is a pilot study to determine the feasibility of studying the Fasting-Mimicking Diet (FMD), a dietary approach that involves the consumption of a specifically formulated, calorie-restricted nutrition regimen with a customized macronutrient composition, ratio, and quantity over a 5- day period, on a larger scale in Asian Americans with prediabetes and to examine the preliminary effects of the diet in study participants. The main questions the study aims to answer are: 1. What are the recruitment, adherence, and attrition rates of eligible participants into the study? 2. Does one FMD cycle result in changes in fasting blood glucose levels and physical measurements in study participants? Participants will be asked to undergo one cycle of FMD (for 5 days), fill out surveys, and come in for a pre-FMD and post-FMD study visit, during which physical measurements and fasting blood glucose and ketone levels will be measured. The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate if a digital group intervention (named IMAGINE) can prevent depression in perinatal populations. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does IMAGINE engage cognitive behavioral therapy targets? Does IMAGINE lead to lower depression scores? Is IMAGINE acceptable, appropriate, usable and feasible? Participants will be randomized to either participate in an IMAGINE group for 12 weeks or receive standard of care.
