This observational study is being done to learn more about heart attack recovery in patients supported with the Impella 5.5 left ventricular assist device (LVAD) as part of their standard of care. There are three stages in this study: screening, treatment and post treatment. There will be two phases of enrollment: First phase will enroll 10 patients; second phase will enroll an additional 40 patients. Approximately 50 participants will take part in the study at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Participation in this research is expected to last approximately 14 months. This time estimate includes a screening period for about 1- 3 days, treatment period of 40 days and post treatment follow-up period for 1 year. Data will be collected through 1- year after heart transplant. Clinical data (medical history, vital signs, laboratory assessments) from medical records, to perform functional testing, and to obtain blood and discarded heart tissue fromfor the purpose of this research study. Participants will be asked to share their records for echocardiography, right heart catheterization, laboratory data and clinical information. Although procedural abortion in the second trimester is extremely safe, hemorrhage is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality. Tranexamic acid (TXA) is used commonly in obstetrics to prevent or manage intrapartum or postpartum hemorrhage and has been associated with decreased mortality and decreased blood loss at the time of birth. Some guidelines are recommending the use of TXA for both the prevention and management of bleeding for abortion care. However, there are currently no published studies assessing the association between TXA and bleeding outcomes for abortion procedures. This study will involve a randomized, placebo-controlled trial of pregnant patients aged 18 and older desiring dilation and evacuation (D\&E) for abortion or fetal demise at 18-24 weeks gestation. The primary aim is to determine whether prophylactic TXA has an effect on the need for additional interventions to control bleeding at the time of D\&E. The study population for this Phase 2 study will include men and women ≥ 18 with confirmed renal cell carcinoma who have progressed on adjuvant anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapy, the current standard of care. Subjects will be randomized to Arm A or Arm B. Study treatment will be given in 28-day (4 week) cycles. Arm A treatment will consist of XL092 alone and will be taken once daily continuously (Day 1-Day 28). Arm B treatment will consist of XL092 plus nivolumab. XL092 will be taken once daily continuously (Day 1-Day 28) and nivolumab will be administered every 4 weeks (Day 1). The objective of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of Apreo BREATHE system when used to support native airways and release trapped air in the treatment of adult COPD patients with emphysema suffering from dyspnea due to hyperinflation despite optimal medical treatment. The Apreo BREATHE Airway Scaffold is a permanent implant designed to tent open native airways. This is a Phase 2b/3 study designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of chronic treatment with brelovitug (a.k.a BJT-778; BTG) for chronic hepatitis delta virus (HDV) infection. The comparator in this study will be 24-weeks of delayed treatment. During the 24-weeks of delayed treatment, participants will complete the same visits and assessments as those randomized to initiate brelovitug immediately. The primary objective is to determine the safety and feasibility of administering R-MVST cells to patients with refractory viral reactivation and/or symptomatic disease caused by Epstein Barr Virus (EBV), cytomegalovirus (CMV), adenovirus (ADV) or BK virus. R-MVST cells will be generated on-demand from the closest partially human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-matched (minimum haploidentical) healthy donors or from the original allo-transplant donor if available. The investigator will closely monitor the recipients for potential toxicities including graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) post-infusion. Secondary objectives are to determine the effect of R-MVST infusion on viral load, possible recovery of antiviral immunity post-infusion and for evidence of clinical responses and overall survival.
