This study is being done to compare Laparoscopic vs Robotic lateral transabdominal adrenalectomy, these procedures are both standard of care. The study team would like to compare both patient outcomes and surgeon efficiency and perspectives among both procedures. The information from this study will help improve patient care, patient outcomes and maximize the appropriate utilization of resources in adrenal surgery. Read Less

The primary objective is to evaluate the potential additive effect of animal-assisted intervention (AAI) on a manualized behavioral treatment targeting emotion dysregulation (ED) in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Aim 1: Evaluate whether Regulating Together-Canine demonstrates earlier and greater improvement in emotion dysregulation than Regulating Together-Standard. The primary goal of this investigation is to assess whether Solarplast (R) supplementation will improve recovery following heavy resistance exercise in active adults. The primary questions to be addressed are: Does Solarplast (R) decrease muscle damage and inflammation associated with heavy resistance exercise? Does Solarplast (R) reduce the decline in performance associate with heavy resistance exercise? Researchers will compare Solarplast (R) to a placebo (a look-alike substance that contains no active ingredients) to see if Solarplast (R) is effective at improving recovery. Participants will be asked to: Take Solarplast (R) or placebo daily for 4 weeks Visit the laboratory at least once per week to receive their supplement Report to the lab for 3 consecutive visits following supplementation to complete a heavy resistance training session and follow-up testing. Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) involves applying non-ionizing forms of light from sources including lasers, LEDs, and broadband light, in the visible and near infrared spectrum, to the body to enhance performance, stimulate healing, modulate recovery, and improve health. The investigators will conduct a single-blinded randomized-control trial with sham control to investigate the effectiveness of providing PBMT in a military population, translating this cutting-edge research to application in the operational setting. A heart attack occurs when blood flow is disrupted to the heart and is related to both the blockage and flow restoration (reperfusion injury). An occlusion during a heart attack can be cleared (mostly via stents), but there are no methods to decrease reperfusion injury even though animal studies have found that "preconditioning" has powerful protective effects. Through the observation of Jewish men wearing tefillin the investigators have discovered a method of bringing preconditioning to patients at risk for heart attacks. The purpose of this study is testing the use of topical Imipramine in combination with topical photodynamic therapy's (PDT) effect on pain following treatment. PDT is a commonly used treatment in dermatology for patients who have many pre-cancers (actinic keratosis-AKs) on their skin. These are both FDA-approved treatments, but this study is evaluating their use in combination, which has not been evaluated in the past. The investigators have been doing studies using animals that suggest that imipramine might make the PDT less painful and might help it work better. In order to participate, the subject and their dermatologist have decided that they would benefit from PDT to treat their skin due to many AK precancerous lesions. Please note that neither PDT nor imipramine are experimental treatments, but treating their skin with imipramine before PDT is a new approach. Read Less
