The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate whether a narrative medicine (NM) curriculum can enhance self-expression, reflection, and resilience in adolescents and young adults with anorexia nervosa. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does participation in an NM curriculum improve self-expression and reflection in individuals with anorexia nervosa? * Does engaging in creative writing and group discussion promote resilience and emotional processing in this population? Participants will be 16-25 years old, medically stable for outpatient eating disorder therapy, and actively engaged in treatment. Those with active suicidal ideation, recent non-suicidal self-injury, or a co-occurring personality disorder will not be eligible. Participants will: * Attend six weekly workshops (April-May 2025) focused on themes such as self-definition, kindness, resilience, and possibility * Engage in close reading of visual or written texts * Complete creative writing exercises in response to prompts * Participate in group discussions and sharing An optional capstone reading event will provide a supportive space for participants to share their work with peers, loved ones, and providers, fostering connection and community. Currently, UCLA Health (specifically the Office of Population Health and Accountable Care, or OPHAC) runs a complex care management program called Proactive Care (goal is to reduce care utilization by providing personalized care navigation/case management). Every month, an AI Population Risk tool runs to identify around 250 of the 480,000 or so UCLA primary care patients, and RNs contact these 250 patients to enroll in Proactive Care. Starting in December 2024, OPHAC launched a new method of enrolling UCLA's Medicare Advantage (MA) patients into Proactive Care: an AI Cost Prediction model. The idea is the same-- the top 250 highest predicted cost patients will be enrolled in Proactive Care. The investigators will evaluate this model and subsequent enrollment into the program by randomizing the waitlist of MA patients waiting to enroll in Proactive Care, thereby creating a control group. The top 500 highest predicted cost patients will be identified each month, and following a 1:1 randomization, 250 will be contacted for enrollment and the rest will be put on a wait-list control group for 10 months unless otherwise requested by their provider to be enrolled in the Proactive Care program earlier. This pilot study is configured as a non-inferiority comparison of Performance Status 2 patients with Performance Status 0-1 patients, with the goal of demonstrating non-inferiority in terms of efficacy (progression-free survival, overall survival) and safety (rates of adverse events, quality of life) when treating Performance Status 2 patients with the same first-line immunotherapy-based regimen as Performance Status 0-1 patients. Malignant gastric outlet obstruction (GOO) results from the mechanical obstruction of the duodenum or distal stomach from an underlying cancer. The consequences of GOO are abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, inability to maintain an oral diet and weight loss, with associated poor quality of life and inability to continue with cancer therapy. Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) is a condition with increased amount of fat, inflammation and scarring in the liver. In compensated cirrhosis, the liver is coping with this damage and maintaining its important functions. Decompensation occurs when the liver becomes unable to perform all of its functions adequately. Variceal hemorrhage (bleeding from abnormal vessels in the liver called varices), Ascites (abnormal build-up of fluid in the abdomen), and Encephalopathy (brain confusion as a result of the liver not being able to get rid of toxic substances) are three symptoms of liver decompensation. The purpose of this research study is to investigate better ways to routinely monitor the condition of patients with NASH with compensated cirrhosis and to better pinpoint the development of decompensation in the livers of these patients. The "Genomic medicine Risk Assessment Care for Everyone" (GRACE)" intervention project will develop a scalable end-to-end solution for risk assessment and management that meets the needs of those populations living in low resource settings. The long-term goal is to increase access to and uptake of risk-informed evidence-based guidelines that will improve population health through better patient outcomes, higher quality of life, and decreased costs. The three primary aims are: Aim 1: Develop a scalable implementation framework that guides each unique clinical setting, including low resource settings, in deploying GRACE effectively for the needs of their patients and providers. Aim 2: Facilitate the potential for genomic medicine to promote population health by broadening access to and uptake of genomic risk assessment by the general population through a pragmatic implementation-effectiveness trial of GRACE. Aim 3: Reduce health disparities related to genomic medicine by allowing individual adaption of GRACE to suit their level of resources, education, and access within a pragmatic implementation-effectiveness trial. Three sets of participants will be engaged: patients (n=750), providers (n=25), and family members of "probands" (i.e., patients that have a genetic change that increases risk, n\~500). Patient participants will be asked to complete a baseline survey, enter their family health history information into MeTree (a family health history web-based platform) and complete a survey about their experience using the platform. Subsequent study procedures will depend on: 1) the results of their MeTree risk evaluation, 2) their acceptance/declination of genetic testing (for those categorized as needing testing by MeTree), and 3) the results of the test (for those accepting testing). Provider participants will be providers who are the primary care physicians treating one or more patients enrolled in the patient participant group. Providers will be notified on a patient by patient basis once the patient participant under their care has complete the risk assessment process and the risk report is available from MeTree. At study completion, provider participants will be asked to complete a survey about their demographics, practice, and experiences with the study. Blood relatives of the probands who are identified by the proband as open to engaging with the study will be contacted and offered genetic counseling and genetic testing. Read Less
