The overarching objective of this project is to develop a pan-gynecologic cancer detection test using gynecologic (unique endometrial, cervical, and ovarian cancer) cancer-specific methylated DNA markers and high-risk human papilloma virus (HR-HPV) detected in vaginal fluid and/or plasma. This proposal defines Phase II MDM-based cancer detection studies in endometrial cancer (EC) and endometrial hyperplasia with atypia (AEH) in vaginal fluid and 2) ovarian cancer (OC) in plasma and vaginal fluid. Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is an effective treatment for people suffering from severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) whose symptoms have failed to improve after years and multiple methods of intervention. An effective DBS target for OCD is the anterior limb of the internal capsule (ALIC) brain region. On average 60% of all OCD patients have a clinically significant response to ALIC DBS. However, ALIC DBS may become even more effective with the ability to predict which specific ALIC connections in the brain need to be stimulated for each individual OCD patient. This study therefore investigates personalized stimulation to the ALIC that allows for precise modulation of brain circuits associated with individual OCD symptoms. This phase I/II trial studies the side effects of tozuleristide in imaging oral cavity squamous cell cancer and high-grade oral cavity dysplasia during surgery. Tozuleristide is an imaging agent that specifically binds to tumor cells. When exposed to near-infrared light, tozuleristide causes tumor cells to fluoresce (light up), so that surgeons may better distinguish tumor cells from healthy cells during surgery. Read Less

This phase I/II trial tests the safety of tafasitamab, retifanlimab, and rituximab (TRR) as a prephase treatment and in combination with standard therapy consisting off cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone (CHOP) or polatuzumab vedotin, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, and prednisone (PolaCHP) in patients with untreated diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Tafasitamab, retifanlimab, and rituximab are monoclonal antibodies. Tafasitamab binds to a protein called CD19, which is found on B-cells (a type of white blood cell) and some types of cancer cells. Rituximab binds to a protein called CD20, which is also found on B-cells and some cancer cells. These monoclonal antibodies may help the immune system kill cancer cells. Immunotherapy with other monoclonal antibodies, such as retifanlimab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Chemotherapy drugs, such as CHOP and PolaCHP, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. This study aims to promote daily physical activity in cancer survivors who are at high risk for type 2 diabetes (T2D) by using a personalized biological-based feedback strategy. T2D is one of the most common co-occurring conditions in cancer survivors and can worsen cancer-related health outcomes, especially in those who are insufficiently active. The investigators hypothesize that seeing the immediate impacts of exercise on their biological status will motivate cancer survivors to exercise. The investigators will use real-time data from continuous glucose monitor to demonstrate the acute impact of physical activity and measure daily activity levels using wearable trackers. As wearable sensor technology is constantly advancing, this study is the first step to exploring how researchers can use wearable sensors to help people make a direct connection between their daily behaviors and health outcomes.
