Predict Severe Traumatic Brain Injury
Recruiting
Severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) is associated with a 20-30% mortality rate and significant disability among most survivors. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimate that 2% of the U.S. population lives with disabilities directly attributable to TBI, with annual costs exceeding $76.5 billion. Current treatments are largely ineffective because they are instituted after irreversible damage has already occurred. By the time intracranial pressure (ICP) increases or brain tis... Read More

MR-US Image Fusion Targeted Biopsy for Single-cell Prostate Cancer Research
Recruiting
The investigators hypothesize that this single-cell analysis can be used to evaluate prostate needle-core biopsies prospectively even in non-homogenous samples by providing profiles of proteomic and phenotypic signatures. These profiles will in turn enable better predictions of the malignant progression of prostate cancers in the settings of current clinical practice.

Molecular Basis for Variations in Hereditary Colorectal Cancer Syndromes
Recruiting
Objectives: 1. To examine the variations in clinical features, survival outcomes, family history, and health behavior among proband patients who are known or suspected to have a hereditary colorectal cancer syndrome 2. To compare the clinical features, survival outcomes, and health behavior of the proband vs. his/her family members who may or may not be affected by the hereditary colorectal cancer syndrome 3. To explore for correlations between germline genetic variations in both the probands a... Read More

Radiation Therapy With Protons or Photons in Treating Patients With Liver Cancer
Recruiting
This phase III trial studies how well radiation therapy with protons works compared with photons in treating patients with liver cancer. Radiation therapy, such as photon therapy, uses high energy x-rays to send the radiation inside the body to the tumor while proton therapy uses a beam of proton particles. Proton therapy can stop shortly after penetrating through the tumor and may cause less damage to the surrounding healthy organs and result in better survival in patients with liver cancer.

ADNP Syndrome: The Seaver Autism Center for Research and Treatment is Characterizing ADNP-related Neurodevelopmental Disorders Using Genetic, Medical, and Neuropsychological Measures.
Recruiting
ADNP, also known as Activity Dependent Neuroprotective Protein, is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder caused by mutations encompassing the ADNP gene on chromosome 20. Clinically, ADNP syndrome is characterized by intellectual disability and global developmental delay. This study seeks to characterize ADNP-related neurodevelopmental disorders using a number of genetic, medical and neuropsychological measures.
