The study is a Phase II clinical trial. Patients will receive intensity-modulated total marrow irradiation (TMI) at a dose of 9 Gray (Gy) with standard myeloablative fludarabine intravenous (IV) and targeted busulfan (FluBu4) conditioning prior to allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT). This is an implementation trial of the All Nations Breath of Life (ANBL) smoking cessation program, which has already been tested for efficacy in reservation populations and shown feasibility in urban populations. It includes four implementation sites, two reservation sites and two urban sites. Therefore, investigators plan to test efficacy simultaneously. Implementation will follow guidelines described in the protocol, with all sites implementing certain parts of the intervention the same way, with the freedom to modify some aspects of the intervention for appropriate use in their communities. Cancer-related fatigue affects at least 30-90% of patients with cancer, depending on the type of cancer and their treatment(s) (e.g., chemotherapy, radiation). It is not relieved by sleep or rest, and it sometimes can persist for years after a person's cancer was treated. The fatigue can be so bad that people cannot return to work, hobbies, family roles, or other daily activities, thereby greatly reducing quality of life. The causes of this fatigue are unknown, and we currently do not have anything that can reliably prevent or cure the fatigue. However, there are recent data suggesting that circadian rhythm, or a person's internal body clock, may be disrupted by the cancer experience and contribute to fatigue. Food intake is an external cue that can entrain circadian rhythm. We recently showed that cancer survivors are willing and able to eat all their food within a 10-hour eating window-a practice called time-restricted eating. Herein, we are testing time-restricted eating against a control group (matched for time-, attention, and expectancy) to see if time-restricted eating can indeed alleviate cancer-related fatigue. All participants will be asked to use the myCircadianClock smartphone app to log their food intake and weekly body weight measurements. The participants assigned to the time-restricted eating group will be asked to eat all their food in a 10-hour window during the day. People can choose their start time based on their schedule and preferences, but we ask that the window is the same for the whole study (e.g., 7am-5pm,9:30am-7:30pm). Black coffee and unsweetened tea are allowed before the eating window, and water and medicines are allowed at all times. The participants in the control group will meet with a nutritionist to discuss the American Cancer Society nutrition guidelines in cancer survivorship; they will not be restricted to when they can eat. Participants in both groups will give us valuable information regarding how diet is related to the experience of fatigue. The purpose of this study is to test the effects of a 12-week TRE intervention vs. an unrestricted eating pattern on fatigue, the sustainability of the program at 24 weeks, and the effects of TRE on circadian rhythm and sugar metabolism. Early diagnosis of cancer allows for better treatment outcomes, higher survival rates, and lower costs of care. It is shown that cancer monitoring for cancer in at-risk populations is a key component in early diagnosis. The HMH Hennessey Institute for Cancer prevention and Applied Molecular Science (HICAP) is a newly founded institute, providing clinical services for cancer screening and risk assessment to the community, as well as research in cancer risk and prevention. The CanScan registry will prospectively collect data from participants in the form of questionnaires. The registry will also capture data that is collected as per non-research assessments, for participants who consent to participate. The registry will facilitate better understanding of cancer risk, screening, and diagnostics. Read Less

In this Project, we will use therapeutic target -focused (TTF) profiling, genome-wide mRNA profiling and assessments of tumor phosphopeptides and DNA that are shed into the blood stream to define how various molecular factors alone and in combination relate to resistance to therapy, to prognosis, and to metastatic patterns at relapse. We will examine how the presence of factors that drive cell growth, antagonize apoptosis, or confer resistance in other ways may counter the effect of systemic therapies and/or promote rapid tumor recurrence. In this way, we will identify new, previously unappreciated potential therapeutic targets while also identifying which targets are most likely to increase resistance to therapy and worsen prognosis. This study aims to determine if adding using a mobile diabetes-related health application with CGM device yields significant benefits, contributing to our understanding of the potential advantages and informing future diabetes care practices. The rationale for testing CGM with Undermyfork in individuals with T2D stems from the potential benefits of real-time glucose monitoring and personalized dietary tracking in improving glycemic control and reducing diabetes-related complications. Unlike standard care, which often involves periodic fingerstick glucose testing and limited dietary guidance, the proposed intervention offers continuous monitoring and tailored dietary insights, thus potentially improving overall diabetes management outcomes. The proposed intervention, therefore, deviates from standard care by integrating mobile health apps into the routine for CGM use, offering a novel avenue for enhanced glycemic monitoring and management. This study evaluates the feasibility and safety of using Lipiodol (ethiodized oil) as an investigational embolic agent for treating pain caused by plantar fasciitis. This is an interventional study that will test the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of the Metabolic Diet, which was designed as a treatment for women with anorexia nervosa to remain weight-stable after they have been restored from low weight. Participants will be adult women with anorexia nervosa who have been recently restored to normal weight and adult women with no history of eating disorders. After enrollment, participants will start meeting weekly with a registered dietitian to implement the Metabolic Diet in their daily lives, and will receive medical monitoring for adherence, side effects, changes in metabolic or psychological parameters, and weight stability.
