Tinnitus represents one of the most common and distressing otologic problems, and it causes various somatic and psychological disorders that interfere with the quality of life. Despite too many research projects on finding the mechanism of tinnitus, its pathophysiology remains poorly understood. It is well understood that many factors, such as poor education, lower income, or occupational, and recreational activity associated with high noise exposure, influence the prevalence and risk of tinnitus. Although the economic and emotional impact of tinnitus is large, there is currently no FDA-approved medication to treat this condition. However, there are pharmacological options to address the stress, anxiety, and depression that are caused by tinnitus. In this project, the investigators intend to use medications for patients with acute tinnitus to decrease the impact of tinnitus in their daily lives and activities. There are some studies on medications treating tinnitus; however, there are few randomized clinical trials to prove the efficacy of the treatment. The frequency and loudness of tinnitus will be measured before and after the course. Functional MRI of the brain will be obtained to view any changes that may occur before and after the treatment. The overarching goal of this work is to address the limited access to evidence-based health behavior and lifestyle interventions for youth and families most impacted by preventable chronic diseases, including obesity and type 2 diabetes. In the current project, we implement a small single-arm pilot and feasibility trial of Health Without Barriers/Salud Sin Barreras (HWB/SSB), a culturally-adapted, whole-family intensive health behavior and lifestyle intervention to 11-19-year-old adolescents and their families living in Northern Colorado. Objectives are refining the HWB/SSB community facilitator training, evaluating the feasibility and acceptability of HWB/SSB implementation, and characterizing changes in health outcomes among adolescent participants. This study aims to examine the efficacy and safety of commination oxymetazoline/intranasal steroids for long-term management of chronic nasal obstruction that is recalcitrant to the current standard of care. The investigators hypothesize that combination treatment with oxymetazoline and intranasal corticosteroid spray will provide a larger reduction in nasal obstruction than intranasal corticosteroid alone for patients suffering from chronic nasal obstruction, and there will not be occurrences of rhinitis medicamentosa. This study aims to examine the effects of new front-of-package alcohol warnings on alcohol consumption. Participants will be randomly assigned to either new front-of-package health warnings or control labels. Participants will bring in their own alcohol to weekly study visits and take home the alcohol to consume as usual. The goal of this clinical trial is to assess whether social-media style short-form health education videos can increase health care transition readiness, self-efficacy, emotional well-being, health literacy, and appointment attendance, compared with publicly available health education resources in adolescents with chronic illnesses. The main question it aims to answer is: -Hypothesize social media intervention will increase health care transition readiness, self-efficacy, emotional well-being, health literacy, and appointment attendance compared to publicly available health education website immediately post intervention and at 6 month follow up. This phase II trial tests how well a fixed dose combination (FDC) of cemiplimab and fianlimab before surgery (neoadjuvant) works in treating patients with stage IB-IIIB non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The current standard of care (SOC) for NSCLC is to give chemotherapy and immunotherapy before going to surgery to have the cancer removed (neoadjuvant therapy). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as cemiplimab and fianlimab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving a FDC of cemiplimab and fianlimab before surgery may kill more tumor cells in treating patients with stage IB-IIIB NSCLC. Read Less

Liver damage from alcohol intake and weight-related behaviors is preventable and treatable only through lifestyle changes. This mixed-methods randomized controlled trial compares standard and enhanced approaches to screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment/prevention (SBIRT/P) to identify and intervene for metabolism- and alcohol-associated liver disease (MetALD). Our multidisciplinary team aims to show that integrating results of noninvasive liver screening with Fibroscan®, a painless ultrasound that measures stiffness and fat in the liver, can optimize our brief intervention. The purpose of this study is to understand DMD functional losses or abilities and their association with independence and quality of life from the perspective of individuals with DMD and/or and their caregivers. This is a qualitative interview study in which individuals with DMD and/or their caregivers will be asked to participate in a semi-structured, approximately 60- minute interview. Interviews will focus on functional abilities and independence. Caregivers and boys with DMD will be interviewed. This study includes no treatment nor intervention; however, some participants are being treated by a drug that is approved in the U.S. and the U.K. and under investigation in other geographies. The goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether four dietary supplements and lifestyle changes can affect gene expression and blood markers in healthy volunteers. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. How does daily ingestion of dietary supplements affect gene expression and hsCRP and vitamin D levels measured in blood? 2. How does daily ingestion of dietary supplements affect anthropometric measurements, sleep and physical activity, and gut microbiome composition? 3. How does daily ingestion of dietary supplements affect cognitive and subjective health parameters? 4. Do prescriptive lifestyle modifications affect the supplements' efficacy? 5. Is there a difference in outcomes between participants who take all four study supplements and those who take three study supplements with a placebo? 6.
